Ohio State, which had the No. 2 class last year behind Carolina, has the No. 1 2007 hoops recruiting haul after signing five of the top 100 prospects.
The Buckeyes? group includes No. 13 Kosta Koufos, 6-11 center from Canton (Ohio) Glen Oak; No. 37 Dallas Lauderdale, 6-8 power forward from Solon (Ohio) High School; No. 46 Evan Turner, 6-6 small forward from Westchester (Ill.) St. Joseph; No. 64 Eric Wallace, a 6-6 small forward and a native of North Carolina, who played his senior season at Chatham (Va.) Hargrave Military Academy; and No. 95 Jon Diebler, 6-7 small forward from Upper Sandusky (Ohio) High.

Yep, he was a top-80 player & UNC-offer the first time around. Amazing how much he forgot at prep school.i do like wallace's position, however. i think he will surprise many this upcoming season.

He may have been, I didn't go back that far checking for a ranking. He was a 5 star coming out of high school was he not?
With so much talent at Hargrave, and Wallace not one of the primary players, it was hard to get a read on his game, and therefore the scouts dropped him...

I understand dropping him, but like Crater, how does someone fall from a can't-miss stud (aka 5-star) to a borderline recruit (aka 3-star) for a program like OSU.
Either way, I look forward to him easing the loss of Lewis nicely. Looking forward to his physical presence at the 3.
If there are 94 better players in the country, regardless of position, then Diebler I would like to see them. I do not think he gets much recognition nationally or even locally. He might not shine in his freshman year but by the time his career is over at Ohio State I think he will have proved himself to a lot of people.OSU_Buckguy;852658; said:according to this journalist's recruiting rankings, ohio state has the #1 class for 2007. yes... 2007. nothing against lauderdale, but i'd give more weight to mumau's ranking if he switched, say, dallas and jon. i do like wallace's position, however. i think he will surprise many this upcoming season.

if donovan does indeed leave (which may be made official shortly; 6 p.m.?), it will be interesting to see whether florida will take the higher road and allow, say, lucas to opt out of his letter of intent. foley has prided himself and the university as doing what is best for the the student-athletes. we'll see if that turns out to be the case here for a prospective student-athlete who signed very late in the window. one would be a fool not to think that donovan's staying was a great reason for lucas's decision to commit to florida.starBUCKS;854540; said:Is that still a possibility?
