OSU Men's Basketball Recruiting/Projections/General Discussions

UK could get real good, real fast w/ Gillespie-Legion and Patterson are a heck of a way to kick start the program. Patterson made a smart choice-he could have been another good player for Duke or Florida, but if he wants to remain in the Kentucky/West Virginia area, he set him self up after hoops to be taken care of for the rest of his life-kinda like being an ex-Buckeye ijn Ohio.

Wow! Many thought that it was for sure Dook or UF...BIlly G stole one...
i feel substantially better about the chances against florida next year. i haven't been all that impressed by what i've seen from lucas, calathes has never impressed me, and the gators have lost almost all of their scoring. parsons appears to be a solid player, and tyus will contribute. however, patterson going to uk levels the field for next year's game. it should be an interesting one.

I agree that Florida will be down, but I think that Lucas and Calathes will be very good college players by the time they leave college, just don't think that they will be that strong early in their career...

MSU Scout (Free)

Talks about Mullens and Crater and them playing with the Ohio Basketball club last weekend at the AMC.

I keep seeing in articles about Mullens hitting a couple 3's, I really don't think that he will being shooting 3's when here, but if he has a solid 15 foot jumper that will just make him that much more dangerous...

Also now sour grapes in this article about Crater as they only had good things to say about him...

I had just recently heard about Jackson's son...

Should be interesting to see if he will develop into a buckeye level prospect...

BTW I would put Kellogg more in the category of a 6'2'' SG...I am really hoping that he can put about 2 or 3 more inches to his frame considering his dad's height and his brother's height...Could be a SF if he grows to about 6'6'' or so, but at this point his frame doesnt look like it will do that...

Either way it is great to here that all of our committments and prospects are playing good...

I am really interested to see how the King of the Court start playing now that they have added Mullens to go along with Frease, Roe and Crater...

They said that Mullens has been seeing some time at PF to allow Frease to play...That just tells you how versatile he is...
