Solid article. Only problem with it is this sentence:

The Ohio Hockey Classic was created to become a showcase for the Ohio State men's hockey program, but there hasn't been much to show off this season.

Ohio State hasn't had much to show off for the last three seasons, since 05-06 when they were the pre-season #1 and fell flat on their face.

Sam, I looked for you at VCA tonight... Figured you would be there supporting your Buckeyes. Thought maybe we could have a beer and chat about the University System of Ohio.

I know you're probably disappointed, but I thought OSU looked pretty strong. Its not easy knocking off the #1 team in the country... OSU played quite well in my book. They will have a strong 2nd half of the season.

Cue creepy stalker music--Single White Redhawk; although the "white" part is pretty much a given when it comes to Miami of Ohio.

BTW, let's hope that your legal career turns out better than that of your, twice denied partnership, fellow moderator. No wonder he's so bitter. Perhaps if he quit posting on websites all day and did his frickin' job, he just might make partner somewhere...someday.

Also, thanks for posting the original of the picture below. Seriously, thank you. Talk about the gift that will keep on giving! It's also nice to see that someone made sure that 'Loid was wearing his helmet. Wouldn't want him to injure himself...probably why you don't let him shave himself either. I'm not quite sure about the reasons for sunglasses inside a domed stadium. Is it to negate the "shiny object" factor?

COLUMBUS ? If the last two nights are any indication, Miami University's hockey fans may want to hold tight. The rest of the season could be one wild ride.
Sophomore Gary Steffes scored on a deflected floater with 1 minute, 38 seconds left in the third period Sunday night at Value City Arena to lift the RedHawks to a dramatic 3-2 victory over Ohio State and give Miami its second Ohio Holiday Classic championship in the last three years.

Buckeyes outhustle Nanooks in claiming a 5-2 CCHA win

By Danny Martin

Published January 6, 2008

COLUMBUS, Ohio ? Alaska head coach Doc DelCastlllo had a simple answer for the reason the Nanooks lost 5-2 to the Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday night after a commanding victory the night before in the Value City Arena.
?I think it was pretty easy ? they were hungrier than we were, they wanted to win it more than we did and they went out and showed it,? DelCastillo said in the postgame media conference. ?It?s pretty tough when you get outworked.?

The ladies hockey team has compiled a 10 - 10 - 3 record this season. Go Bucks.

COLUMBUS, Ohio ? Senior forward Erin Keys scored twice in the third period but fell short of completing the rally as the Ohio State women?s hockey team was edged by No. 5 Wisconsin, 3-2, Friday at the OSU Ice Rink. The Buckeyes managed to cut the Badger lead to one-goal twice, but that was as close as they would get, moving to 10-10-3 overall this season with a 7-9-3 record in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association. Wisconsin, the two-time defending NCAA champion, is 15-6-2 and 11-4-2 in the conference.
Trailing 2-0 after the second intermission, the Buckeyes opened the third period on the power play. While they failed to generate a goal with the man-advantage, Keys got the team on the board at 4:28. Senior defenseman Tessa Bonhomme fired the puck from the middle of the slot and Keys knocked in the rebound from the left doorstep to cut the lead to 2-1. Junior forward Morgan Marziali had the second assist on the goal.
