OSU buys out game in Cincinnati and moves it to Columbus in 2012

Of course that's because we're afraid of them and "want no part" of the program they're building.:wink2:

OSU reschedules 2012 game with UC (football)

I know you may find this hard to belive, but there are UC fans that truly believe that. I pointed out to a UC fan that OSU was playing at USC this year and asked him to reconsider his argument that OSU was afraid to play a game in it's own state at a venue that would be, at least, half Scarlet & Gray...? He had no response.

As a Diehard OSU fan and a UC almnus who does still root and contribute to his alma mater, I appologize for the morons on the fan site.

I have taken my young girls to OSU football games and I have taken them to UC games. the fan behavior at UC embarrasses me so. I even wrote the AD last year to complain about what my 8 year old had to see and hear. But, God bless her heart, she did ask on the drive home, "Dad, when can we go to Ohio State again?" (took her to her first game in 2003 and she's been pleading to go back). :)

"And you can spin it anyway you want as well, but until we do something more than justscare OSU acting like they are afraid of us isn't much more than wishfull thinking.

These aren't the actions of a school that is afraid of UC, these are the actions of a school that still considers UC a marginal program. "

A quote from that board posted above. True statement.

Personally, I would love to win this game by no less than 50 points. These pseudo-UC fans are embarrassing.

Where do the might Bearkittens stand. Top 20 program they're most definitely NOT. Here are the programs that I'd put ahead of them.

The entire SEC--12 schools
Big East: certainly Pitt and WVU, Syracuse based on tradition, history and future potential and Rutgers and Louisville based on better recent success--5 schools
Domers--1 school
Big Ten (all except NW and IU)--9 schools
Big 12: Texas, A&M, Tech, OU, OSU, KSU, Colorado, Nebraska, Mizzou, ISU and with last year's success Kansas--11 schools
Pac 10--All 10
ACC: Miami, FSU, Clemson, UNC, UVA, Maryland, BC, VT, GT and NC State--10 schools
Mid Majors: Boise, Fresno, BYU and Colorado State--4 schools

Being very generous, I have a hard time considering them a top 60 program!

I'd probably put Northwestern ahead of them too.

First let me say as a UC fan I really like the million dollars UC is getting. Were already in debt and the money can pay for the practice bubble Kelly has been clamoring for. I also realize we are not a top 20 program yet. It will take UC 3 more years of seasons similar and maybe even a win better than the 2007 season to claim that, but if Kelly stays I certainly think that goal is attainable. I really wish their was a way this game could still of been played in Cincinnati though because that 2002 matchup was awesome and the atmosphere was sensational. I really believed that UC was going to have a chance to knock OSU off in 2012 if our recruiting continued to improve, Kelly was still the UC coach, and of course, the game was still at PBS. Oh well, I'll look forward to watching my Cats in the Horseshoe, hopefully it's a good game. Good Luck this season.

Aren't the Bearcats still regularly losing recruiting battles to Miami and the MAC? They're in the BCS but UC isn't the least successful BCS program but in terms of attendance, media attention, etc they're near the bottom. UC signed it's death sentence when they canned Bob Huggins.
