But I am so surprised the transfer of Justin Boren is completely forgotten in this discussion. Some of you said we tried to sign 4 and got only 3 last year.

Boren was effectively a 5-star JUCO transfer. He is a replacement for Josh Jenkins. Keep that in mind.

Likewise, Boren will be gone from the program by the time most of this years OL recruits are ready to play. With rare exception for glaring need or exceptional ability, I as a rule figure that the first true impact from a majority of lineman won't come before their third year. With the positive direction in the depth chart this should continue to hold true. Adding Longo would be another cog in bolstering our line strength likely 3-5 years down the road. Sound planning from the staff.
