Dodson looks to be a good one and I'd love to have him, but if we don't, I'm glad for all the hard work Meyer and staff did to land Decker.

Can you elaborate about this injury? I knew Davidson had an injury, but never heard about Dodson's shoulder. His scout page says there is no injury news items for display. Are you confusing Davidson's knee with Dodson's shoulder?

Just saying that we and also some USC people we've talked to don't know WHAT to believe... So best to keep expectations low until anything is signed tomorrow.

I'll be honest, I really wonder how USC can take Dodson when they know he can't contribute for a season due to injury. I'd think they would have to be more selective in terms of health to pick their lineman. They really can't afford many risks.

Can't blame him if he goes to USC (though I think their campus location leaves a lot to be desired). Mayhaps Kiffin thinks he can get that pipeline from northern Ohio to go his way.

I have been asking if we were going to make any moves toward the OL recruits at Rutgers after Schiano bolted for this very reason. Not that I had any inside info on Dodson wavering but I figured that if we did land Dodson and pulled someone else highly rated it would not be a bad thing considering how thin we are at the position.

Really, if Dodson doesn't come it just frees up a spot for next year. We'll land at least 3 OT next year, so depth shouldn't be a worry moving forward.
