found this post on 11W forum interesting....
Need Frye to get his big win. Frye has gotten 8 commits at OSU across 2 cycles so far. Only 1 is in the 247 composite top 100, and only 2 in the composite top 200. Only 5 out of 8 are even blue chips (62.5%). Across all other positions combined over the same time frame, 32 out of 33 non OL commits are blue chips (96.97%).
I’m just saying, go look at the 23 and 24 classes and the cluster of lowest rated players in both classes is mostly the offensive linemen, our most dire position of need. That’s not getting it done at the standard that’s been set.
Studwara's legacy lives on.
I will give an amen to that. He is supposed to be the "run coordinator" and the short yardage situations were as bad as ever. The recruiting isn't ideal so far and he really needs to land Baker to earn his keep, but it hasn't been awful. Not greatly concerned on his recruiting so far but the on-field results definitely need to be proven this year.doesnt exactly give me the warm and fuzzies as i continue to watch Ryan Days offense fail to convert 3rd and short in the run game consistently.
Many teams already look in midseason form whereas Ohio State looks like it is still in Spring Ball in some ways.
Let's use Texas as an example. They have a veteran offensive line. Ohio State has a brand new offensive line and it takes time to gel. Many teams already look in midseason form whereas Ohio State looks like it is still in Spring Ball in some ways.
