OL Alex Boone (Official Thread)

Seeking redemption for the Florida loss is his season-long driver this season.

Redemption for the '05 game in Happy Valley is a very specific driver for this game, not just for Alex, but for Kirk, whose injury it was that threw Alex into the fire.

ESPN - Forde: Ohio State doesn't fear the reaper - Columnist
In the first half, the 6-foot-8, 313-pound Boone showed his athleticism by pulling out to lead a Hartline screen into the end zone by knocking aside a defensive back -- then leap-frogging all the way over Hartline's head and landing on his feet.

Of all the impressive things Ohio State did, that might have been the best.

"I just felt him up there with his hands on my shoulders," Hartline said. "I bent over and just let him go. I didn't want to catch him."

Said Boone: "I got some ups, man. You better watch out."

The o-line seemed fired up for this one, making enormous holes that Mo was even exploding through. Man's an athlete, what can you say. If they run and pass block like that the next few games, Boeckman won't get touched. That d-line, even though banged up a little, was leading the country in QB sacks. They got one last night. Way to go boyz!!!! I'm fired up for the home stretch.

This was the player we all expected coming out of high school...

I still think that he could have trouble with quicker 250 lb DE's, which I think is when you might see more TE's trying to either chip or block, but he took that Florida game and has motivated himself to become the best he can be, and he is going to make himself a nice paycheck next year if he decides to leave early, but I would love to see him stay for one more year...

Anyone know the reason for the taped up arm?

I sure hope our offensive line can become better with each game and I hope that they still have something to prove since the game with Florida. Is this the biggest O/L we have ever put on the field or are the same as last year.
