Ohio State wins nine of 10 matches on the afternoon, including eight by bonus points.

Ohio State won eight of 10 matches by major decision on Sunday afternoon to earn a 40-4 victory at Edinboro. The Buckeyes are now 2-0 on the season while Edinboro falls to 2-2.

The Buckeyes tallied one pin, three technical falls and four major decisions on an afternoon when nine of their 10 wrestlers won their bouts.

Sunday's dual started at 125 pounds with the Buckeyes' Brendan McCrone getting Ohio State off to a fast start by scoring three first-period points and then four more in the third period. He added a riding time bonus point for the 8-0 major decision.

Ohio State's early lead swelled to 10-0 in the next match thanks a pin by 18th-ranked Nic Bouzakis at 133 pounds. It took Bouzakis just 2:05 to finish off his win over Colton Camacho and continue to early Ohio State momentum.

At 141 pounds, Andre Gonzales scored early and often in the first period against Colin Roberts, building a 11-0 lead that eventually led to a 15-0 technical fall. That bonus point win – Ohio State's third in the first three bouts – have the Buckeyes a 15-0 lead.

Dylan D'Emilio would follow with a 6-3 win at 149 pounds to extend Ohio State's lead to 18-0 before Paddy Gallagher scored 10 first-period points enroute to a 26-11 technical fall over Ryan Michaels at 157 pounds. The victory sent the Buckeyes into intermission with a 23-0 lead and with four bonus point wins in the first five bouts.

Sammy Sasso continued his comeback at 165 pounds with a 13-9 decision over Max Kirby to extend Ohio State's lead to 26-0. Sasso scored a takedown in each period and improved to 2-0 on the season. Following Sasso's win, Edinboro scored its lone win of the day when Brody Evans topped T.J. Schierl, 12-0, at 174 pounds.

Gavin Bell got the Buckeyes back in the win column at 184 pounds, as he scored seven near-fall points to build an early lead over Hunter Hutchenson and rolled a 15-0 major decision. Ohio State would then close out the dual with a technical fall at 197 pounds by 11th-ranked Luke Geog – 18-3 in 4:39 – and Hogan Swenski's major decision over Aden Roe at heavyweight to make the final score 40-4.

Ohio State will be back in action next Sunday, Nov. 24, when it hosts Hofstra at noon inside the Covelli Center.

Mendez nor Allirez changed weight. Perhaps you're referring to someone else?

My guess is Rogotzke will RS also and Shumate goes to 184...
On the first point, good point.
Wtf? For some reason I thought he was at a different weight. Maybe to make a splash with rankings? But regardless, who cares...Jesse handles his business and it really doesn't matter with him.

Ryder may RS now. We're banking for the future and throwing this year out basically. I don't disagree with that approach, but this year is less interesting as a result. The reason why will become apparent soon.
