Really sending our full lineup to the Clarion, that is a shift if they all actually wrestle. Looks like a lot of other teams are as well though, should be great competition.

Would there be any Buckeye duplicates in a weight class? Asking if there might be an unofficial 'wrestle-off' between two like competitors? Or is it a one-per-school type of thing.
In an open setting, I believe you can have multiple wrestlers at the same weight. Each open can have their own criteria, but the standard is everyone that wants to compete can compete. As I recall, there have been a number of times where a wrestler won the wrestle off but then lost to their teammate at an open. I can't recall specific examples but it has happened.

Thanks RB, exactly what was asking. Great way to see multiple weight class guys under fire, other than each other. Just another factoid to consider, other than the ubiquitous wrestle-off, to determine who goes on the mat. Even for someone who is a wrestling junkie, that sounds like a long week end.

I agree with 99% of this and really fun to watch really. But Davino earned the job for now. I would have him as our starter right now...hate to say that about an improving Bouzakis, but Davino earned the job straight up. As a wrestler, I would feel the same way. Davino wrestles to start the year. End of story to me there.

Loved how we wrestled overall though, no doubt.

Not entirely certain about the level of competition, but it certainly looked like the Buckeyes shines. Kinda think that maybe like spring football, and the established players/wrestlers can/would sit out, as they have nothing to prove. Was surprised Mendez got on the mat, as noted, he has nothing to prove. Liked that our mid-rated wrestlers did well. Heck, all did well, and certainly gave the coaches something to have them work on. Any matches going to be at the Covelli during Thanksgiving? Thanks in advance. Go Bucks!

Level of competition overall was not fantastic, we'll really know where we stand after the Cliff Keen. That said, there was some quality guys in the finals. For example, Rocco Welsh destroyed a pretty highly ranked guy from *ichigan in the finals. I'm surprised we wrestled that many of our top guys but I'm glad we did, got some really quality matches in and I kind of do see it as a live wrestle off of sorts.

They wrestle Hofstra on November 24 at noon in the Covelli, that would be a good one to catch around that time. The Cliff Keen is after that on December 6, but that is in Vegas. First dual is Tennessee Chattanooga on November 14, which will be on B1G+. Pretty weak schedule until Cliff Keen, but I like that it gives our guys some matches to work up to that tourney.
