Will be interesting next year to see what we can get out of 157/165 between Ryan, Burcher, and Romero. With Jose getting healthy at 125 (or maybe one of the Wisconsin kids can take it). Hayes and Pletcher dualing to see who takes 141. We have no seniors whereas Gulibon is PSU's only senior. I think its PSU v OSU for the Big 10 championship again next year.

I don't see Romero coming down to 165. His walk around weight is close to 185 and he may benefit from a redshirt. The Koontz twins are going to need redshirt years for sure as both are undersized. I think the smart move at 141 would be to have Hayes back in the lineup and allow Pletch to redshirt and then take over for Nato at 133 in 2019. But that's all speculation at this point and Tom Ryan has been known to accelerate things if he thinks they have a shot.

What an incredible tournament by our boys, Ryan gets them to peak at this time every year, it's incredible. Every single win in the finals was a thrill to watch. NaTo's win showed incredible presence to be aware of the time and get the escape to win at the last second, most guys would've just went into OT. Mic was just outmatched and not much you can do against Retherford, dude is unreal. The win by Bo was not only crucial in winning the tournament, but for his confidence heading into St. Louis...he needs to start faster but that was an excellent comeback and showed tremendous leadership to come up in the clutch like that. Martin just got caught up with the trip and it's tough to recover from that, still a great tournament. Then Moore...just wow. I don't think I've ever seen so much improvement over the course of the season and his relentless style is such a treat to watch. Huge for him to break through and beat Pfarr...keep in mind he lost to Pfarr by a major decision earlier in the year. I'm serious in saying that he could win it all at nationals, he has improved that much. I've said all year he is one of our big wildcards and he's turning into an elite wrestler in from of our eyes. And btw, he had Pfarr pinned, they missed the call. And then Snyder dominates as usual and shows nobody is going to beat him.

That was the most fun I've had watching them this year, just another great day to be a Buckeye and take down PSU for another Big Ten title.

A's to Romero, I think he could potentially get down to 165 but he may not be college ready. Tons of potential but needs a year to focus on wrestling imo. The better scenario in my eyes is if White gets the grades and comes in to fill 165. If Ryan and Rodriguez can get healthy, that is a lineup with zero holes.

I think White is the 2018 165# answer; assuming he can qualify and they have money in the budget for him. Then in 2019 you have White 165, Romero 174, MyMar 184, Moore 197 & Singletary at 285 - though Snyder still has a potential redshirt or Olympic redshirt to burn. I'm still not convinced Jake is the answer at 157 - injured or not. I think you need a tourney point scorer at that weight and to keep you in dual matches and not give up 5-6 points.

Or maybe Carr can take 165 in 2018. Let's hope he commits to the good guys!
