The guy doing the play by play for Flo at Dapper Dan said Snyder as a 17 year old is already beating Dustin Kilgore who was a 2012 NCAA champ with semi-regularity at the OTC in Colorado Springs. If he stays healthy he could be a 4x NCAA type guy.
I didn't hear the play-by-play but WOW. Kilgore is an absolute brute and I suppose it doesn't surprise me even as spectacular as that is...Snyder is going to be incredible.
Other updates:
125: Roberts won his first consolation match 10-5, lost the second by fall and is out
133: DiJulius lost his second match in the winners 2-0 to Thorn (he needs to beat that kid once) but came back to win his consolation match 6-3. He has a tough match with Mark Grey from Cornell next but if he can win two more, he gets on the podium. Really hoping he does for both his confidence heading into next year and so he gets a better seed next year.
141: Stieber advances by fall. Man on a mission, the kid he pinned is quite good. He faces the froshy Retherford from PSU next...I think that match will be tougher than whoever he faces in finals. #1 seed Port already lost, although I think the VaTech kid who was hurt for most of the year ends up in the finals from the top bracket.
149: Paddock lost his first consolation match 6-5, so two and out for him.
165: We don't have a guy here but make sure to watch David Taylor...no surprise but he is absolutely wiping the mat with everyone. Completely on another level.
174: Martin bounced back to win a match and is about to wrestle his second consolation match. He really needs a couple wins here.
184: Courts lost 13-7 and will be wrestling his first consolation match soon.
197: Heflin won again and I think it says by forfeit...not sure what the annotation is on the bracket but either way, he will be wrestling his quarterfinal match soon.
Hvy: Tavanello fought back with two straight pins but has a long way to go to the podium. Still nice to see him get a couple big wins.
Team Score: Currently we are tied at #6 with Edinboro. Oklahoma State surprisingly is at #1 with a 2.5 point lead over Penn State. This race will be a fun one to watch and may well come down to the finals.
