Both Stieber and Heflin look to be peaking...huge match for Heflin to take down McIntosh and just coming off beating Schiller too. Only actual loss this season for Heflin was a random one to a Wisconsin kid. In any event, I expect Heflin to make a serious run at nationals and for Stieber to dominate. Congrats to both of them on their Big Ten titles!

NCAA brackets released here. Good draw for DiJulius and he could win a couple matches to be primed to get on the podium. Logan is going to have to go through Retherford again to get to the undefeated Port in the finals but I like Logan here...he is on fire. I really like Paddock's draw too, he could win some matches. Martin has a tough draw, hopefully he can win his first but Kokesh is a tough one in round 2. Courts stands a chance to win a couple matches before facing Ruth....184 is going to be very interesting. Heflin at the #1 seed is HUGE! And unexpected, but I will take it...really nice path to the finals. Plenty to watch, can't wait.

Haines dropped 5-3 to the PSU guy but Snyder annihilated his kid 10-3...kid basically stalled the whole time or he would have got pinned or tech falled. Snyder is going to be one of the most special talents we have seen here if he stays healthy.

Update from the first round:

125: Roberts loses 9-3
133: DiJulius wins by major decision 14-5 (big win)
141: Stieber by fall
149: Paddock loses 9-4 (not good)
174: Martin loses 7-2 to a nobody (not good)
184: Courts wins 8-4 (nice win, has a decent shot to win the next one)
197: Heflin wins by injury default (gives us the same amount of team points as a pin)
Hvy: Tavanello loses 3-1 in OT

- A very meh start. We needed Martin and Paddock to get a win in the first round.

I was only reading the brackets, so no. My best guess is it would be associated with the injury default in Heflin's match...you often see an unsportsmanlike on an injury, which I always thought was stupid unless it was obviously malicious. It is wrestling, shit happens. But I'm not sure yet.

The guy doing the play by play for Flo at Dapper Dan said Snyder as a 17 year old is already beating Dustin Kilgore who was a 2012 NCAA champ with semi-regularity at the OTC in Colorado Springs. If he stays healthy he could be a 4x NCAA type guy.
