Do you know what rounds it starts getting televised? I think it is semis in the past, could be wrong.

Not sure what time zone you're in so these will be EST...matches start at noon on Friday. I'm not aware of which ones FLO televises but I would guess since they charge for a hookup they damn well better televise at least everything after the prelims. Quarters are scheduled for 9pm Friday and semis are at 2pm Saturday and 1st thru 4th place will be decided starting at 6pm. Go Bucks!

Thanks for the info, back in Ohio until Sunday so I'll be on eastern. Hoping one of the championship sessions will be on ESPN or something.

Well crap. Yeah, no shot to win if that's true.
As of 1pm the Bucks had Malik losing 4-0 to Ungar from Navy, D.Koontz losing dec. at 133, D'Emilio winning dec. at 141, and Sasso ahead comfortably at 149. Bucks have no wrestler at 157 not sure what the story is there. Kharchla is looking good at 165. That's all I got so far. Will update later today.

Prelims are overand OSU remains alive with only 133 Dylan koontz eliminated. Here'a a brief rundown..
125..Malik lost his 1st and then came back with a fall in his 2nd match. Re-set your alarm, Malik because you need to wake up earlier.
133..props (sorta) to Koontz for filling in and actually winning once, but he's out.
141 D'Emilio went 2-1 losing to N.Iowa.
149 Sasso started by getting a major 23-7 and then followed that by pinning in 57 secs.17-2
157 nope...see my last post
165 Kharchla had a 8-2 dec. and a 17-2 Tech Fall.
174 Ethan Smith had a 12-3 major and 8-6 dec.
184 Romero lookslike he's serious about retaining the title. Took a 18-5 Major and a 1:36 fall.
197 Hoffman really building on his good showing at Nats last year. He won a 12-4 MD and by pin in 3:23.
285 Tater had 3 matches, pinning the first and 3rd guys an losing a tough 3-2 match to a N.Iowa wrestler.

More to come late tonight.

I would have to call the weekend disappointing with only Sasso winning a championship and Romero a 4th. Sasso beat Northwestern's YaYa Thomas in the semis 7-2 and Kyle Parod from Arizona St. in the finals while Romero iost to N.C. St.s Trent Hidley 4-1 in a disputed decision regarding a takedown. Heinselman wrestled his way through consolations to finish 5th and D'Emilio knocked off the mat rust by finishing 8th. A break now to get people healthy. Enough of these medical forfeits!

Extremely disappointing, even the medical forfeits and two guys out at 133 and 157. Tying for 8th is nowhere in the ballpark of where this team should be. Hopefully it's primarily health and we recover. Good job Sammy though on the title.

Believe it or not Ohio State wrestlers participated in an open tournament Sunday where two won championships . The Storm Open was held in Painesville, Ohio and 6 Buckeyes participated. Alex Gonzales placed 5th with a 2-2 record (125). In the same class Brady Koontz finished 2nd and went 3-1. At 133 Alex Flerlage also finished 3-1 and took 2nd, and so did Klay Reeves at 149. The two champs were Gavin Bell at 184 who had byes the first two rounds then had two tech falls to win, and also Mike Misita won in 285 class with 2 falls, a decision. and a med forfeit. Of course the competition wasn't much, but a win's a win!

Friday-Saturday Dec.8th and 9th will be the Walsh Ironman High School Tournament. Wrestlers of interest to Ohio State include
commit Brock Herman at 144 (# 2 seed), commit Rocco Welsh at 175 (#1 seed), and recruiting targets Marcus Blaze at 120 (#3 seed)
and Vince Bouzakis at 138 (#4 seed). I also thought Vinny Kilkeary was in this but I didn't see him listed.

Took a look at the seeds and man the world is upside down from my days in Ohio wrestling. Graham and St. Ed's only have something like 3-4 seeds a piece...might not be an Ohio team in the top 5 at Ironman, that just wrinkles my brain. Looks like Blair and PA schools will clean up absent some upsets.

St.Ed's is 5 th going into tonight's matches, the only Ohio school that's even close. It's basically a two-way battle between Blair and Stillwater,OK. Graham is 20th. Brock Herman lost in the quarters to Ty Wilson from Dublin Scioto who's committed to Penn. Bouzakis and Blaze went out early. Rocco Welsh is an animal and is in semis. Another Ohio kid named Ethan Birden is also still wrestling, not sure if he's committed anywhere.
