Ohio State Women's Basketball (2023-24 B1G CHAMPS)

Not very much. Foster left the cupboard pretty bare and it is going to take a while to get this program back up to the status where it was a few years ago. The backcourt lacks shooters and we really do not have that much size up front.
I agree, it shouldn't be a great season.

But this will be a good test of McGuff's coaching abilities. What can he do with limited talent? Even though this team is loaded with upperclassmen (8) how much will returning players develop regardless of their talent level? I wont be looking for wins so much as effort and consistency. See how much they grow between the first game in the B1G and the last. Will they still be playing hard when the tourney comes around?

Lady Buckeyes finish eighth in Big Ten with a 5-11 record and will meet Northwestern in the B1G tournament on high noon on Thursday. The winner faces top-seeded PSU on Friday at high noon.

Hopefully, the Buckeyes will be a better team next year with the addition of a stellar recruiting class and some upper-class leadership.

On a brighter note,

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ohio State sophomore guard Ameryst Alston has been named to the 2014 First Team All-Big Ten Women's Basketball team by the coaches and the media, the conference office announced Monday. Her honor marks the 10th consecutive season that at least one Buckeye has earned first team honors and is the 12th overall selection since 2005. Joining Alston among the honorees was junior guard Raven Ferguson, who earned honorable mention honors by the media. Redshirt junior Amy Scullion was Ohio State's recipient of the Big Ten's Sportsmanship Award.
