Ohio State Women's Basketball (2023-24 B1G CHAMPS)

Poor 3 point shooting, 3-16 did them in.
No, it didn't. It contributed. Some questionable calls (Ashley Adam's first 2 fouls quickly come to mind). Logic flopping and drawing charges (the announcers - "She sure sold that one"). Iowa attempting 7 more free throws (hitting 5). Along with a dozen other things. The Lady Bucks showed a lot of heart and a lot of potential for next year with the recruits coming in. I'm assuming the transfers can't play until the following year. The future looks better for the Lady Bucks. Ellerbe hits that last 3 and there's a good chance they're playing tomorrow.

Transfers can play in 2015, a year after transferring, so likely at least half the season.

Ohio State's best player from last year, Raven Ferguson, was dismissed from the team per reports today from various outlets. This season is going to be a huge test for McGuff with so many young players.

Princeton's Kelsey Mitchell (OSU recruit) put up 50 Wed. night, against Fairmont (The Defending State champs, who has another OSU recruit Makala Waterman and Notre Dame recruit Westbeld on that team)!

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Freshman forward Makayla Waterman is expected to miss the 2014-15 season after undergoing knee surgery Tuesday.
Waterman tore the meniscus and anterior cruciate ligament in her knee in Ohio State's first practice Oct. 6.
(Same knee she blew out in HS in the summer before her Sophomore year.) Best of luck to her.

Let us not forget about the women's program:wink:

After losing to Virginia in their opening game 87-82 the ladies beat St. Francis 113-97 with only 7 ladies healthy enough to play. Also, Alston was named the Big Te Women's Player of the Week.
COLUMBUS, Ohio - Junior guard Ameryst Alston led an Ohio State offensive outburst on Sunday which was needed to get by St. Francis 113-97.

The Buckeyes, who topped 100 points for the first time since 2004, even their record at 1-1 while St. Francis dropped its opening game of the season.

Alston scored 23 of her career-high 39 points in the decisive second half. She also grabbed nine rebounds and dished-out six assists. Her 39 points was tied for the third-most in a game by a Buckeye in school-history.

Freshman Kelsey Mitchell continued the great start to her career as she followed her 26-point performance on opening night with 28 points and six assists on Sunday. She was a perfect 7-of-7 from the free throw line and led the team with five assists.

Fellow freshman Alexa Hart notched the first double-double of her career as she scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. She was just two blocked shots away from a triple-double. The eight blocks were tied for the fourth-most blocks by a Buckeye in a game.
