Ohio State Women’s Basketball Adds Florida Transfer Kylee Kitts

Kylee Kitts, a top-25 overall prospect in the 2025 class before she reclassified to the 2024 class, is transferring to Ohio State after one year at Florida.

Kitts, who redshirted in her lone season at Florida, brings a full four years of eligibility to Ohio State.

The younger sister of South Carolina star Chloe Kitts, Kylee Kitts was listed as a guard/forward at Florida but is likely to play in the frontcourt for the Buckeyes, who are replacing their entire starting frontcourt from last season of Cotie McMahon, Taylor Thierry and Ajae Petty. At 6-foot-4, Kitts brings plenty of size and athleticism to Ohio State’s frontcourt.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Ohio State women’s basketball coach Kevin McGuff was charged with operating a vehicle impaired last week after he allegedly hit several curbs and drove through someone’s yard, according to an arrest report obtained Monday by NBC4.

Dublin police were called to a home on Tara Hill Drive on May 6 after someone reported a vehicle driving recklessly.

An officer spoke with McGuff, who was reportedly behind the wheel of the vehicle, which was parked partially in the yard, according to police. McGuff was asked where he was coming from, to which he replied “I live here,” while pointing to his home.

Has Kitts signed her LOI? Read about the verbal, but also that 'has not signed LOI'. And neither tOSU nor Kitts has confirmed much of anything, I believe......hurry, I'm standing on the ledge here...
I think that is what the "commitment" means from the transfer portal. They don't go through the signing day type stuff that a high school recruit does they just formally commit from the transfer portal. I havent seen anything that would insinuate she had any problems transferring her credits and what not to tOSU so I'm assuming it's signe, sealed and hopefully delivered.

What I was initially wondering is if the McGuff crap was a new hurdle towards the transfers but I'm hoping that having the potential coaches that are already on the staff makes that a moot point. Hopefully

Going back to my Business Law days, one has to have several elements to make a contract. Intent, timing, and consideration. Maybe the first two in the LOI, and the consideration in the form of an NIL agreement? Pretty certain that a recruit these days would consider the NIL to be the more important of the two. Hey, tOSU has enough legal staff (maybe from the Law School?) to enforce an LOI, via a specific performance avenue? Pretty drastic, certainly, and certain that Gator would chime in, if he was still around, about the nuances of such an enforced contract. Go Bucks!
