It's incredible that the Lady Bucks have played 3 of the Final Four finishers from last year. This will really help them down the road, even though they lost all three.

They will also play Maryland in conference play so that will mean they have played all 4 teams that reach the Final Four last season.

Ohio State coach Kevin McGuff announced this morning that freshman guard Kaylan Pugh has left the women's basketball program.

"First of all, I want to say that Kaylan is a really great kid," McGuff said. "She worked hard the whole time that she was here. But she wanted to get into a situation where she is closer to her family."

The loss hurts because Pugh showed signs that she would be a solid contributor off the bench this season She appeared in six of the Buckeyes' seven games and averaged 5.5 points and 2.8 rebounds in 12.5 minutes. She had 18 points and 10 rebounds in a win over Wagner on Nov.22.

A native of Collierville, Tenn., Pugh was the state's Miss Basketball (Division II) as a senior.
