Game Thread Ohio State vs Oklahoma, 09/09/17 @ 7:30 ET (ABC)

But the only difference is we actually BEAT Tech, and you LOST to Clemson. But let's keep talking about last year as if it were actually this year...

The more I think about this game, the more confident I become.

1. After halftime adjustments, the offense lit up a defense that is definitely as good as OU's (IU was #45 total defense last year, OU #82).

2. Our DL depth will overwhelm OU's OL and put more pressure on Mayfield than he has seen since...Ohio State last year.

3. OU's running game isn't what it was last year, enabling our DL to concentrate more on point #2 above.

4. JK Dobbins is a stud, and if Weber can also get into the mix that should significantly tie up OU's front seven, leading to...

5. A much improved Buckeye passing attack to open up against a pass defense that was #111 nationally last year, giving up 270 yards a game.

I do as well. I just can't shake the feeling that Urban knows he has something special with this team.
