Game Thread Ohio State vs Oklahoma, 09/09/17 @ 7:30 ET (ABC)

Jeff Badet was Kentucky's leading receiver for 3 straight years...with no quarterback. Team him with Baker, and he'll be lights out.

Jeff Badet - leading receiver:

But, of course, he wasn't the leading receiver for three straight years:

Was second on the team in 2015 to Dorian Baker
And second - in terms of receptions - to Garrett Johnson in 2016, though he was the leading WR in terms of yardage

Because giving up 854 yards and 59 pts. to Texas Texas, a 5-7 team last year, makes your conference look really exciting!

btw, isn't your defense suppose to improve a little as the season progresses? Rhetorical.
If OSU ever gave up 500 yards to a single player, let alone 819, they would fire the entire defensive staff. In the b12? That's a gut check moment and a wild shootout.

Mahomes:
85 rushing yds vs OU
62 rushing yds vs all other B12 teams combined
negative yds vs 5 of those B12 teams

How many less yards did Mahomes put up against other B12 foes?
545 Kansas
318 Kansas State
524 WVU
652 TCU
468 Tex
394 OkSU
602 ISU
239 Baylor

471.63 yds better than OU, on average. :slappy:

When a B1G fan predicts the other team's scoring by a strong offense, and they're worried they're a bit vulnerable, they'll predict 24-31 points.

When a B12 fan predicts the other team's scoring by an offense they don't really respect, they'll predict 21-31 points.

Indeed, Texas Tech qb, Patrick Mahomes II ?!?, passed for 734 yards against Oklahoma!

ok, ok, OK's pass defense was feeling generous ...

btw, OK also had 854 yds. on offense = 1708 yds. total offense. Not exactly the '85 Bears defense lol.

check the above edit. they gave up more rushing yards to him than the entire conference combined, despite OU being the only one who ever fields a defense (occasionally).

Oh I'm sorry...I had no idea OSU brought in Texas Tech's entire "Air Raid" offense and stole Mahomes from the Chiefs. Oh wait!
