Look, it's always the case that the majority of cross-forum posters are jack asses. We've been lucky over the years to attract a few who are really good and appreciate the difference between BP and othe boards. The standards, history and culture are different here... and that's why the good ones tend to be welcomed into the community and stay after the games are done.
There's clearly individuals on the OU boards who are capable of having the rational discussions and fact based arguments. We just haven't seemed to attract that kind of audience yet this go round. As such, it's also clear that the current crop of guys would be welcomed into the community with the same warmness as
@WolverineMike... and should they decide to stick after the game, would likely be regarded in a similar manner.
I, for one, hope that a couple of quality posters can show up and have some good football discussions. And I further hope that a couple of them stay. I hate to have to form my opinion of an entire group of poeple based on the behavior exhibited by these guys.
I commend many of you guys who have taken the time and effort to provide great examples of the expectations of this community. I neither have the time to conduct some of the analysis nor or am I Ross Fulton, so I appreciate what many of you have done.
It's what keeps me coming back and kicking my annual dues to the good cause that this place is.
That said, given my lack of time imma just channel my best Ross Fulton 'evil twin' and say the following:
