blissfully stupid
Well the Sooners have a number of motivating factors playing in for them too:
-Baker Mayfield pushing hard to clean up his reputation after being arrested in Fayetteville.
granted i didn't pay a lot of attention. but based on what i did see from ou over the past several months it led me to believe they didn't take the off season very seriously. i actually see that as a negative but to each his own i suppose... besides, im not sure how winning a game on the field helps your reputation off the field. maybe personal character is irrelevant in the face of wins in norman? ive never been so i have no idea.
-OU players will push hard to get a win for their former coach Bob on his 57th birthday.
anytime someone is being honored for something outside of what is physically happening on the field in that game its a distraction and always worries me when it involves my team. distractions tend to be bad.
-No doubt they’ll be motivated for Joe Mixon who still gets crap for a stupid mistake he made three years ago after his 18th birthday.
joe mixon... the bengal..?? is tOSU playing cincinnait this week??? i have no idea what issue you are referring to. can you explain what possible relevance it has to this game?
-They’ll be looking for redemption after what happened last year vs. the Buckeyes in Norman. They have more to prove this time around, even with the game being in front of a rowdy crowd at the Horseshoe.
valid
-Lee Corso made a critical error by saying the Sooners were “pretenders” on ESPN last week. Baker Mayfield still has those words retweeted on his Twitter account. Yeah Lee, I guess your alma mater Free Shoes University is no different after getting slaughtered by Bama!
valid
so revenge for the curb stomp we gave you previously and a mean thing some random talking head said about your team. i mean.... valid n all, but... only one of those things is something most of the rest of the teams on our schedule can't claim..
