Game Thread Ohio State vs Oklahoma, 09/09/17 @ 7:30 ET (ABC)

One thing is for certain, The Shoe will be rocking Saturday night. It will without a doubt be the loudest and most rowdy environment that OU deals with all season. College Gameday on site for a ranked night game? Fuhgettaboutit. The crowd will be bringing the heat. Urban’s “10th unit” comments will be in full swing for this one.

The whole campus will be swarmed as far as the eye can see. If the Sooners struggle early, they’ll be able to hear it all the way in the dumpster fire up north. There’s no practice noise that can prepare Mayfield and his squad for it, so they better bring everything and the kitchen sink for this one.

"That's the loudest stadium I've ever played in" radio 2005

"Will trade you your stadium for our coach" random usc fan 2009

These OU kids were backups on the sidelines last year when they played in Waco for gods sake. They've heard louder.

The 'Shoe would be the 3rd or 4th loudest stadium in the B12

TCU, Baylor, Tech, WVU and K-State have pretty loud stadiums as well. I'd say Neyland Stadium in Knoxville was the loudest stadium Baker's ever played in though.

Btw, who was the fan that wrote this on Lincoln Riley's Wikipedia page a while back? I can bet Lincoln has a snapshot of this posted in his office and in each Sooner player's locker:

IF he has to use Wikipedia edits as motivation I feel even better about Ohio State's chances on Saturday....

Going back to Neyland Stadium...how loud is it? This link explains it all.

Using highest recorded decibel level is a flawed metric. It's not how loud a stadium can be at any one moment. It's how loud it can be consistently that it disrupts the play of the opposing team.

I have been to the closely contested OSU-Michigan game at both stadium. The ability of the crowds to disrupt the opposing team is not even close, with Ohio Stadium being much more disruptive (that is unless you are unnerved by the sound of jangling keys).

I know that there is a lot of talk about OU OL, and rightly so. But I was very impressed with our OL against Indiana. Indiana has a solid D and played tough in the first half. But as the game wore on our OL took over the game and wore down Indiana's D. They gave up zero penalties and only one sack.

There will be a lot of interesting match ups in Saturday's game. If our OL can get the better of OU DL and we can establish a solid running game then I like our chances to win. I do not see OU having much success running the ball.

GO BUCKS!

This is funny they think Baker is God. I'm sorry but Jt is not mediocre... he does have a championship something Baker knows nothing about... Buckeyes DLine is too good and JK is a beast Bucks Win 35-17!:urban2:

my guess is they have simply read the jt barrett thread... in reading that you would think jt is the worst qb in the history of college football. hell, reading that thread you would think jt would have made bellisari look like a qb god.
