If an Ohio State freshman can beat both the Illinois #1 guy and his freshman brother in the ITA Midwest Regionals, and play that close to USC's #1 guy (currently a senior) from last year; you know he's definitely going to be a good one. The future is very bright for Mikael Torpegaard.

WoW, you are right Script.
I want to see Torp become a Ty Tucker special, ala Blaz Rola!
Frankly, I was more excited about the recruit on campus, but has not played yet.
Hugo Di Feo was my projection to replace the graduated Captain Kobelt.
Signing day is Nov. 12 and the new recruits for the class of "15 are unbelievable.
They also include Peter's little brother.

The suspense was killing me so I "Googled" it.:

One Blue Chip (Kyle Selig), two Five Stars (Martin Joyce & Hunter Tubert). and one 2 Star (Alex Kobelt).

It does look like the #1 class in the B1G:

FWIW, the site seems to think that Duke may have the overall #1 class:

Blue chip seniors Catalin Mateas, Vincent Lin and Adrian Chamdani, among the top in the Class of 2015, have verbally committed to Duke University. Ryan Dickerson, with his five-star credentials, joins the University as well, making Coach Ramsey Smith's Blue Devils one of the best recruiting classes of the year.

Hugo Di Feo lost in the 1st round of qualies at the Champaign Challenger to #472 Frederik Nielsen. Hugo had 14 double faults in the 6-7(3) 6-3 6-0 loss. Herkko lost to former Florida Gator Greg Ouellette 7-6(1) 6-2, Hunter beat former Louisville Card Andrew Carter 6-3 6-3 and will next play #429 Fritz Wolmarans.

He lost to a 31 year old pro... Frederik Løchte Nielsen (born 27 August 1983 in Kongens Lyngby, Denmark) is a professional male tennis player. He is a former Wimbledon Men's Doubles champion, in 2012, and now competes mainly on the ATP Challenger Tour in both singles and doubles.

I do not know if Alex Kobelt, Peter's little brother, will ever be a big-time player out Ohio State. He is a little lefty who will play his guts out but does not have the skill set of a lot of other guys playing at the collegiate level. Maybe in a couple years he will be more developed. I will say that no one will outwork him.

Yep, Ty Tucker reputation at its finest!
Buckeyes could not normally compete for blue chip recruits verses the likes of southern and western schools, however...
Momentum is surging for the ladies team, 2013 was a strong recruiting year, last year blue chip Anna Stanford and this year the top recruit in America should make the lady Bucks fun to watch!

I especially appreciated these quotes about the college experience.

"CL: Are you traveling by yourself?
BR: Yes, I came to the US four, maybe five, weeks ago and was training in Columbus, at Ohio State. It's also very nice to go back, always good memories. So I trained there with Ty [Tucker, Ohio State head coach]. David [Kass], he's my manager, he's helping me a lot with scheduling, doing everything for me, picking out tournaments, guiding me the right way, with where I have to play, what I have to play. Without him, I'm just hitting tennis balls and without him, I would not be as quickly where I am right now. So a lot of thanks to him. ...

CL: Have you graduated from Ohio State?
BR: No, I went two and a half years - I took a fall off before my last year, so I probably have a year and a half left, probably three semesters. Ohio State gave me an option to come back whenever I want to finish, it's called degree of completion I think, which is a great program. I definitely want to come back and finish school; I didn't study two and a half years [in international business] for nothing. I don't want to waste that. But right now, I'm focusing on tennis.
CL: Do you still keep in touch with the program?
BR: Yes, I had such a good relationship with Ty and everyone on the team. They still follow me when I play all my matches. If they can, they watch my matches and they still give me advice. Ty's still coaching me when I get back to Columbus. They've been such a big part of my tennis and life in general, it's my second home. Every time I land at the airport going back to Columbus, I get a smile on my face. I love to go back, keep in touch with the team, and that is something that you miss on the tour. It's individual, it's not team and that's something that I definitely miss.
You can say you get pretty spoiled in college; you have trainers, you have courts, you have facilities, you have coaches, you have everything you need to get better and focus on just playing tennis, nothing else. Here you have so many other things that you have to pay attention to. But I like what I'm doing, I like everything that comes with tennis, and I wouldn't change a thing."
