Ohio State Men's Tennis (2014/2019/2024 ITA Indoor National Champs, 17 Straight B1G Titles)

I agree with you some UVA teams have been very good and have lost in the NCAA's, even some that have been loaded, but this year they are more than just loaded. It's almost like everyone else should play for second place:(

Something else I have noticed about Virginia is that they peak too early. To win the NCAA title you need to peak at the right time...for some reason they fizzle at the end of the season...maybe overtraining/injuries fatigue?

Thanks for the reminder of tOSU's dominance in the B10 these last year's. Would love if a mod could change the thread title to reflect the 5 straight Big Ten titles.:)

At the ITA midwest regionals today at South Bend, IN, the Buckeyes advanced 2 singles players and 2 doubles teams to the semifinals on Monday.
Blaz Rola advance this morning with a relatively easy 6-2, 6-2 victory over the #4 seed Nevola of Illinois. He will be matched against the #6 seed TSUN's King in one of tomorrow's semi.
Matt Allare also advanced with a 7-6, 6-3 victory over teammate Devin McCarthy. He will face #7 seed Watt from Notre Dame in the other semi tomorrow. Watt upset tOSU's Chase Buchanan in the quarters today.
Single's Draw

In the ITA regional double's tournament, two Buckeye teams advanced to tomorrow's Semifinal round.
Matt Allare and Peter Kobelt defeated Watt And Anderson of ND and then Graves and Wolfe in the quarters today. They will face Reichert and Pelaez of Illinois State in tomorrow's semifinal. These Big guys have the length and power to really dominate on the double's court! Would love to see them get to the finals tomorrow.
In the other double's semi, Balazs Novak and Devin MCarthy advanced with two wins today including a win over the #4 seed Havens and Davis of Notre Dame. They will face Nevolo and Souza who upset #1 seed OSU's Chase Buchanan and Blaz Rola in today's quarterfinal.

I wouldn't have guessed it would be Allare and Rola, but
this prognostication of a S & G single's final was spot on!
