Game Thread Ohio State @ Iowa, 11/04/17 @ 3:30 (ESPN)

Pay Luke whatever the hell it takes. The LBs need him coaching them.

Yeah, if this is what Billy Davis brings to the table........

Embarrassing effort by the coaches today. I put zero blame on the kids they tried to execute this [Mark May] game plan.

We never adjusted and when we realized we couldn't stop them we insisted on throwing the ball.

I love our bucks but 1 big ten title in 6 years isn't good.

Coaching was atrocious, although I think Wilson had a good gameplan early. Looked like OSU was going to run down the field every drive and rack up 600 yards and 40 points.

This game is on Urban, JT, and the defense. JT was trying to force things from play one, Urban panicked and shut down the offense, and the defense was awful the whole game.

So I guess I agree. Maybe if I keep ranting I'll feel better by next year?

At least factor in the fact we weren’t allowed to win one of those

100% of the games we've lost in the Urban era, this happened.

It isn't an accident.

Honestly, I don't want to hear anything from Urban anymore. No more press conferences, or catchy phrases, or hype videos. Just results. Please get more than one B1G title ever 5 years. Have one season in which the team doesn't look sluggish or out of control for the majority of it. Get another win against Bama or 1 against Clemson.

It is at the point where having the statistical record for TDs or yardage, or the record for wins vs. losses just doesn't really satisfy.

I've checked. Nobody gives trophies for statistical advantage.

And one thing that is consistent, and has been for years (outside of those first two perfect regular seasons that yielded...um...nothing), with this team is their inconsistency. One great year, with the talent they've had, out of all seasons. One.

Wanna tell me how spoiled it am? Or, wanna dig out that PollyAnna costume you wore for Halloween and proclaim how it's going to get fixed THIS TIME? Don't strain your fingers typing it.

Almost all of you, with just a couple of us exceptions, are guys. You have a term for this. You know you do. And I'm pretty sure most, if not all, of you learned in your youth not to keep asking for another date: Cock Tease. These teams, for all but one gloriously improbable season, have been a colossal cock tease. I don't have balls, but if I did, they'd be blue. And, possibly gangrenous by now.

Fresh outta false hope. Fresh outta empty hype. They're gonna have to show me from now on. The only celebration will be after the fact.

PS Filing under Thank God For Small Favors--Thank God they waited a week for this melt down. If they'd lost like this to the Pedsters, I would likely have had to completely give up football.

No Playoff this year. Win a BIG and get a decent Bowl game. I’d say this was a classic case of getting out coached and having a team with no emotional fuel in the tank from last week. Good thing there aren’t any Iowa fans in Toledo. Embarrassed and humbled by a better team. Go Bucks. Beat Sparty and beat SCUM

Not only is Iowa not all that great this year, Iowa was one of the conference teams we've thoroughly dominated all-time. Coming into the game we were 47-11-2 since 1926 and 34-4-1 since 1963 against them. Of the 14 all-time losses to Iowa, we had only three 20+ points losses: 20-0 (1923), 35-12 (1960), and 33-7 (2004). To get thoroughly ape-fucked by 31 points to a 5-3 Iowa team is beyond unacceptable.
