Game Thread Ohio State at Penn State, 10/22/16, 8:00pm ET ABC/WatchESPN

Bro that team got absolutely skull fucked by Alabama. They weren't that talented. We had absolutely no business losing that game. Zero. None. We have a team with 16 new starters, including a completely rebuilt offensive line. They were bound to look like garbage in one game.

agreed, its hard to ask the LEAST EXPERIENCED TEAM IN THE COUNTRY to not show it at far too many positions on the wrong night.

shitty loss that was largely earned. hats off to the lion's dline, they really played really well. oh and fuck you bj may.

going to be real interesting to see how the oline performs next week against the fighting fitzes.

Where are the counters and traps from the Championship run? Where's the tempo? Where's any sense of rhythm to the play calling, plays that work together in a sequence?

This, to me, is squarely on the coaching staff. It also is another data point in a trend line, IMO, and not a good one. Why is JT taking so much time almost every snap changing plays and pointing things out individually to each and every lineman? That was driving me absolutely insane. I get that crowd noise sometimes requires taking a little longer to get everyone set and on the same page, but you have to know your environment and how to work within it to your advantage.
it doesn't appear that warriner and beck have an idea what to do if the weather is not perfect.

this is the worst team I can recall losing to.
The 2009 Buckeyes lost to a 5-7 Purdue team by the score of 26-18. The offense gained only 287 yards, made 5 turnovers, and surrendered 5 sacks. That was a much worse loss to a much worse team and those Buckeyes recovered to finish the season 11-2 and Rose Bowl champs.

So the 2016 season's not over yet, but the playoffs are definitely in jeopardy.

Game was lost on the 3rd and 7 play from the 28 with 4 to go. Assuming Herbstreit and Fowler were correct that the sideline was going crazy for a check b/c Terry McLaurin had a 1 on 1 opportunity. I mean, all due respect, Terry McLaurin isn't exactly Jerry Rice. I don't think him getting single covered means an automatic check to throw him the ball. I'm as frustrated as a lot of people at the over reliance on JT running but in that situation I was expecting it and was totally fine with it. Empty the backfield and run JT. Maybe he gets the 1st down, maybe he gets closer so you can go on 4th, maybe you get an easier field goal. Just an odd set of decisions there that cost us the football game.

He had inside positioning.. so you lead him with it and throw a bullet...
You don't loft one deep.. which is the only place the trailing DB has a chance

There were numerous plays like this where I'm not in agreement JT had a good day

i shudder to think what ttun is going to do to our offensive line, especially prince. that was easily the worst performance from an offensive lineman that i can recall in perhaps years. unfortunately, the defensive line up north is absolutely superior to psu's.

It's at home, which could be the biggest rivalry game in the rivalry history. I still really like our chances in The Game.

Watching Highlights of NW's win today. Should be an interesting game. Can't believe I just typed that.

It's a valid point. Let's not forget Indiana gave us trouble.

Sometimes the best thing to happen to you, is to get knocked down. We've dealt with this before. How do we respond?

After Va Tech embarrassed us, we learned how to utilize a swing pass and it literally opened up the entire field. A simple adjustment of a swing pass.....that's all it took.

It's funny because we were way too stubborn with our run scheme against Va Tech. Tonight, had we been committed to inside runs and allowing JT to get hit, I think the result is different.

LSU can still beat Bama, FSU can still beat Clemson. We still have a great chance. Plus the B10 is still open.
No. I will not watch this team get skull skull fucked by Bama on national TV.

here's what I conclude

1. Need a true and competent OC
2. Need a not suspended Torrance Gibson
3. I love Weber but running for 4 tough yards every play won't cut it. ( I love you zeke have my babies?)
4. Need a true and competant OC
5. We straight fucked our TE recruitment because Baugh is not what we need out there regardless of how he made A TD this game

6. I need a new remote
7. Get a new fucking offensive coordinator.

Even if we win out in the big ten I have money we still suck dick at throwing the ball and end up running the ball for 300+ yards a game. This doesn't fix the issue of not being able to throw the God damn ball.

You literally cannot take on powerhouse programs coming off "bye weeks" and just expect us to roll.

We have a [Mark May]load of glaring issues to fix, but PSU literally could've played a high school team last week, and it would've lead us to a victory. PSU and Wisky had 2 weeks to prepare for us. That's massive.

The Big 10 has some "splainin' to do". I promise you this was an issue immediately behind the scenes. I worked for FSU multiple years and know how this stuff goes. We haven't said [Mark May] publically but come playoff time it will be all over the place. You DO NOT schedule consecutive road games at 8pm against powerhouses coming off byes.

That's absurd. We almost thread the needle...it's why I said we deserved a [Mark May]load of credit if we won tonight. Really tough situation....

Hope this is okay, bill.
