Game Thread Ohio State at Penn State, 10/22/16, 8:00pm ET ABC/WatchESPN

I'm not trying to be completely Pollyannish, but we are an absurdly young team, and the wheels came off the bus a couple weeks ago. If it takes this loss (like the VaTech loss) for us to fix what's broken -- then so be it.

I don't like calling out coaches, and that's not what I'm trying to do here -- but Warriner is one of the best OL coaches in the country. I'd like to see him focusing on that and we bring in a true OC.

The OL needs help. To say the left side was porous would be so so generous. But it's not just on them. There are plays even every console gamer know to counter an aggressive rush -- indeed we see those called against us ALL the time. And yet we power run up the middle over and over right into designed run blitzes.

I actually think JTB played a good game. Not great, but good. I think we're suffering at WR besides Noah and Samuel (who is more of a jack of all trades). Baugh has moments, and then other moments. We lack a burner, which is odd, because we don't lack for burners. Very curious.

Last November, most people wrote off the scUM game after sparty. The offense was a total shit show and a whole lot of people forecasted doom and gloom. We followed that with two of our best offensive performances of the year against two solid teams.

My point, writing off a UFM coached team is a bad strategy. I think lighting up some cupcakes and beating a very flawed Sooner team was the worst thing that could have happened for this team. It sent expectations through the roof. Youngest team in FBS that sent an unreasonable portion of last year's roster to the NFL. Anybody that was realistically expecting them to run to a NC may need to step back and look.at this a little more analytically. The talent is here, the experience isn't...yet. as for the coaching...well, tonight wasn't a gold star night. It happens to everyone. EVERYONE. Reset the expectations and move on. Still a lotta football left.

Fuck yes. Last year that MSU team was talented and in 13' MSU was talented as was Clemson.

This team was 2 blocked kicks, and 2 jump balls away from winning 35-0.

This was a joke and I for one am tired of playing not to lose. We play from SNAP 1 not to lose instead of going out and taking what is ours
Bro that team got absolutely skull fucked by Alabama. They weren't that talented. We had absolutely no business losing that game. Zero. None. We have a team with 16 new starters, including a completely rebuilt offensive line. They were bound to look like garbage in one game.
