Game Thread Ohio State at Oklahoma, 09/17/16 @ 9:00pm ET, FOX

I don't think so. If you were Boise State instead of Ohio State, then yeah.."pressure" would be a good word to use in your argument.
Planning your excuses early. Nice.

Put it this way, if you can't beat the least experienced team in FBS, when you bring back a very experienced roster, and your playing at home...............then when can you? You are supposed to win these games if you have a legitimate squad.

Here I'll help you out. 1974 was OU's 4th national championship year and Barry Switzer's best time. I probably know Ohio State's own history and tradition better than you do.

...
Yet you asked us if they ran the air raid. Tens of millions of cfb fans know what kind of offense osu runs, yet that simple topic eludes you

Because you think this sport is played in an almanac and can't be troubled to watch us Yankees, apparently.

I wouldn't go as far as to say that, as you all live in a different region located a thousand miles away from Big 12 country.

OU runs the Air Raid, which was invented by Mike Leach who started it at OU, then Texas Tech. Baylor and TCU run this offense as well.

Ohio State's offense is no where near as explosive as Urban Meyer's at Florida, but is better than what Nebraska had under Pelini. History shows that Urban's offense struggles when he is without his best coordinators, such as Dan Mullen or Herman. (See Florida in 2010.)

You wanna talk smack about our stadium?? Meh, okay.

Maybe the more educated Bucknuts can tell us about yall's defense and how they're going to stop Mayfield, Andrews, P-Train and Mixon from running up and down all over the field? You lost more guys from last year than Kanye and Kim lost credibility points since their marriage!

It took your beloved team two fucking OTs to beat Tennessee..... TENNESSEE. And you want to talk about how vaunted your offense will be?

Wake me up when your conference decides to play defense... Until then, go dust your 2000 championship trophy.

No, but you're including a boatload of players on your team who are either freshman or have not started an actual game yet.

My only guess is that if your Buckeyes do win, then there must have been a pretty significant injury that Mayfield suffered and/or your coaches really studied the Houston tape well. Other than that, OU has only lost 8 games at home since '99. OU fans don't really have too much of a concern for this game because of how dominant they've been at home under BGBS.

:slappy: Ok, so you're decent at home under "BGBS"... But how have you been in BIG GAMES with actual implications under "BGBS" since 2000/01?

Now if you'll excuse me, I must go find a tattoo parlor...

A guy touting Barry Swititzer and talking NCAA violation smack?!! :slappy:

That's rich. Thanks for playing Boomer.

Gotta say this is one of the lamer opposing fan trolls we've seen in a while.

The "I'll piss everyone off with my stupidity before they ban me" strategy is worn and tired.

I was hoping to at least see something new

What is the last Ohio State game that you watched?

I don't expect you to watch them play Rutgers or Illinois (any more than us watching you struggle with Tulsa into the late 3rd quarter at home last year ), but osu has been in a lot of big games recently.

You aren't even required to be a normal college football game and watch big games outside of your region. YouTube has drive through videos with almost the entire game in 15-25 minutes.

I watched your Fiesta Bowl win over Notre Dame. Any team can beat the Irish in a bowl these days. C'mon man.

I also watched part of your loss [AT HOME] to the same Michigan State team that Alabama beat 38-0.

For the record, Oklahoma is 2-9 all-time versus Notre Dame, including a 30-13 loss at home in 2012.

For the historians out there, Notre Dame was the team that snapped Oklahoma's historic 47-game winning streak (1953-1957). Of course, Ohio State won the national title in 1957 in part because the mighty Sooners got shut out by a mediocre Notre Dame team.
