I liked this quote from the Link, kinda says it all.

"In all our woods there is not a tree so hard to kill as the buckeye. The deepest girdling does not deaden it,and even after it is cut down and worked up into the side of a cabin it will send out young branches, denoting to all the world that Buckeyes are not easily conquered, and could with difficulty be destroyed."

an "isle" is an island. "aisle" is the correct spelling.

Ah, the irony of calling someone a stupid ass, and then making a boneheaded grammatical error. That type of thing would never happen on BP. :paranoid:

Liked this one, too:

Re: I am glad dOSU did that fake punt!Reply No offense buckeye fans but Pryor just isn't that great. Wait till you get in another big game against a real defense and see if Pryor's athletic ability will bail him out... mark it down here your not winning the BCS with that guy as your QB.

Kudos to him for being a naturally gifted athlete though.

Everyone got that marked down?

Rhetorical question, but it's been marked for a while now!

I'd never let my sons play for TresselReply I have nothing but praise for the on the field performance of the OSU players. They made the big plays, we didn't. They clearly had the better athletes and consistently came through with big plays when needed. Very impressive indeed - we were clearly outplayed no question.

I have nothing but disdain for Tressel. Most notably the fake punt, followed by the deep pass just after it. Less of an issue with the final TD but still classless to not take a knee. And given play calling in prior years, this is hardly an aberration.

On those plays I have no issue with the OSU players - they should execute the plays called as best they can. And NU could have made the stops and we didn't.

If my sons were good enough to play D1 ball, I wouldn't tell them where I'd want them to go as I would want them to make their own decision and choose their own path. However I would tell them where I wouldn't allow them go, mainly on academic grounds. OSU is a good enough school I wouldn't have an issue there. But I would never let them play for a man like Tressel.

The above issues don't make him a cheater or a scumbag or anything like that. But they do mean he is lacking in class and integrity. He is definitely not a man I would want serving as a role model in the formative years of my sons. What a pathetic man, and what a contrast to Paterno's view on what the game is about.
Something tells me his sons are gonna end up playing clarinet in a marching band, anyway.

I'd definitely send my sons to play for Tressel. At least he'd teach 'em how to tackle a fucking punter.

LMAO they make it sound like Tressel rubbed it in NW's face with that last TD... After all, his facial expression said it all after that last TD.. Not Ohio State's fault NW can't stop the Buckeyes' 2nd stringers!

Is this NW fan inferring that the NW Defense is awful?

Ouch. That would be like me saying after the OSU-USC game, "man I can't wait til USC plays a "real" defense and then Sanchez will suck". - see if I am allowed to post here again :)

Just got home from the game. Never had so much fun in all my life and the Bucks looked lights out. Does anyone know what happened to that annoying raaararrarrraaarrrr that NU would play after every first down. I kind of missed it. :)

Re: It was Ohio State's fourth victory in a row over Northwestern, and it delighted the sellout crowd that appeared to be two-thirds Buckeyes fans.

So does any one know Jordan Mabin for NW? There is a kid, from another message board, it will remain nameless. But he speaks of Mabin like he is a god. Also claims Mabin will be a top 10 draft pick... BTW I believe he is the one that got the healthy stiff arm from Beanie on the 55 yard run.
