And there we go...

10) Final TD. I'm sure that JT didn't want that to end up in the ezone. Obviously his facial expression said as much. But, heck... you've got to give it the Boom on that. A couple of GREAT frick'n cuts and missed tackles... the kid has the right to get in the endzone.
:oh:
These kids deserve to play football. Most of them have been working for 3/4 of their lives to play in a college game and earn a college education without bankrupting their parents. For some, their future livelihoods literally depend on every play. Who are we to tell them not to play at 100%?:io:

I'm glad that the defense went up against Kafka this week, I watched the NW-Minny game last week and he was tearing up the D. On NW's earlier possesions he was making runs happen, it was reminding me of Juice Williams and last year, making me not look forward to next week; barring their pathetic loss today.

Then the D stepped up and shut him down. By the way, does anyone have video of that hit from MJ on Kafka? But it was reassuring to see the D change their aggresivness at the line. Later in the game, instead of overpursuing and giving Kafka the running lanes, they stayed back, shed the blocks and wrapped up. I know on the first drive, they were direct snapping to him and he looked like a RB with a decent arm, but when tOSU took the lead they needed to pass more and he didn't have the extra chances to make plays after they broke down. They stuffed the run, Kafka, then shut down his running lanes. Obviously Kafka is a pretty good player, and he made pretty good plays. But there is a reason the D only ga up 10 points. Basically, I'm glad the D got an extensive look at a more mobile QB the week before going against the one who beat them last year.

I would have liked to hear what these guys said when Florida was laying it on LSU a couple of weeks ago.....

Do you really expect that kids who don't get much chance to play are going to go in and just fall down....

No kidding. He shouldn't be expected to just take a dive short of the endzone on a sure TD until after he gets drafted, goes into the league and ends up on my fantasy team with me down five points. :(

I am glad dOSU did that fake punt!

Let this be a lesson for young Fitz and Company.
We cannot act like gentlemen out on the field against Thugs like dOSU!
We had to come out ready to kill the thugs and we didn't.
I hope we peg this loss inside the locker room and remember how the real thugs play their football.
Next time we meet, we shall go out there trying to take some heads off!
