methomps, who's stepping up on the OL? I assume O'Dowd would be one but who else?

Charles Brown has been a pleasant surprise moving from RT to LT. It looks like the left side of the line is pretty set with LT Brown, LG Byers, and C O'Dowd. Not sure about the right side, although I assume Butch Lewis will be the RT. Depth is still an issue, but the line is getting healthier.

You just don't get it do ya? :tongue2:
Pryor's status is a usable commodity that should be maximized. That is just smart.
Recruits from the 09-10 classes were already meantioning him on different recruiting sites before he had stepped on campus... its safe to say that they know what he can do.

The O-line can afford about one major injury, because we have the very capable Alex Parsons able to fill in at either OT or OG. Other than that though, our depth is very thin. The rest are almost exclusively redshirt freshman or true freshman.

Ohio State football: The fierce urgency of beating USC

AP file"And then on third down, I'd have Pryor fake a pitch to Beanie, bootleg the opposite way and hit Saine in the flat."

The Buckeyes have been getting a lift from Barack. It's O-H-I-O meets O-B-A-M-A.
As proven in his "Winner's Manual," Ohio State coach Jim Tressel will quote anyone with a message that he likes. Add Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., through Barack Obama, to the list.
At interviews today, the Buckeye linebackers were talking about the "fierce urgency of now," the line that Obama has used to explain his run for the presidency. Of course, Obama is only citing the "fierce urgency of now" first articulated by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
"Coach Tressel brought it up from Barack Obama's speech," senior James Laurinaitis said, "and he just said the acronym is FUN. We have a lot of guys who are seniors and have to have that fierce urgency of now because all we have is now. We don't have another year, and we have to have fun doing it.

"We had fun the last three years, but we have to make this the funnest year and the most urgent. That sense of urgency was what Coach Tressel thought was appropriate for this senior bunch."
