Early forecasts are predicting 60 degrees. I can dig that. Here's to a good week of practice and a carry over from Happy Valley! :io:
And 14 point favorites...

So i look at this game as the BIG ONE to put Ohio State back in the lime-light of college football. Ricky Stanzi still may have an outside chance of playing for Iowa. Kirk Ferentz is a fierce competitor of college coaches known in the Big Ten. And Jim Tressel knows this.

IMO, they are better off with the backup. Iowa's O-Line is nothing special, and a hobbled Stanzi is not going to have the mobility to make any throws on the run with our defensive line coming at him. The backup may have stunk up the field last week, but he probably didn't get a lot of work before the game. This week he gets the reps.

This isn't just about Iowa. This is about the 5th Big Ten Championship in a row and a trip to the Rose Bowl for the BUCKEYES!!

With Stanzi being out (no chance of him playing), and with the above factors in play, I'm afraid that it's not going to be a pretty picture for the Hawkeyes. The boys in scarlet and gray want this game more than most people realize.

This game is about pride. It's about accomplishment. It's about the record books. It's about making a statment. It's about silencing the critics. It's about dominating the Big Ten. It's about a trip to Pasedena and a top 5 finish. It's about sending our Seniors out on their last game in the 'Shoe with a resounding victory. This is about kicking a$$ and taking no prisoners.

MAJOR. BEATDOWN.

Iowa week.

The Hawkeyes SHOULD have come into The 'Shoe undefeated on Saturday, but, alas, Northwestern proved to be too strong for them this past Saturday.

Their offensive backfield is decimated. Their spirits may be broken. But, I have a feeling that they are going to be ready to play come kickoff on Saturday.

I have seen bickering on this board about looking forward to scUM. Call me naive, but I am pretty assured that it is only onlookers and fans who are "looking past Iowa". Tress and the team have one target this week, and that bulls-eye is squarely pegged on the Hawkeyes. The Purdue loss, I believe, was a MAJOR wake up call to this team. I don't see this team looking ahead past Iowa to The Game one bit.

If the D-line and O-line play like they did in Crappy Valley, then the Buckeyes should pull out a victory.

Go Bucks!!!

Just saw the line at 15.5...wow
Not that surprising. Iowa is down to a RS Frosh at QB, their third string RB and tOSU is starting to gel on both sides of the ball and coming off a 17 point win over a top 10 team on the road. I expect something along the lines of the PSU game score wise...just maybe a shutout.

Would it be too late for them to make this a night game? I prefer the 3:30 kickoff, we haven't fared well in the night games lately.

Games in November can't be night games, per Big Ten rules. Even if they could, I doubt they would change the time given we're a few days away.
