Since my last name is Latham and the contractor of Ohio Stadium was the E.H. Latham company I'm pretty sure I should have access to the Shoe at any time....Just sayin

By my guestimations, if it costs $9 million to add 2500 seats, they will get their money back in about 10 years. That is a pretty good deal.
The permanent lights seems to be the big key. No renters fees. No outside obstacles for temp lights which mean better parking. So $$ would be recouped in a few years. And add on the seats...
I have a dream that it might mean November Night Games too.... if the Big ever decides to stop being stupid about it.
Re: for 2013 the cost for a reserved full season student ticket package is $252.00

Just sayin': Since most of the seats added (south stands) will student seats it may take a little longer than 10 years. It might be closer to 14.
$9M /(2500 x $252) = 14.28
Of course that is with no ticket price increases, which we know there will be.
I'm pretty sure Jim Delany already said (to a newspaper in Iowa or Nebraska) the league is going to relax those rules (November night games) starting with the next television contract. And then reiterated that to BTN this past season.
Another thing to consider would the student seats that are being moved from North stands to south stands being replaced with full ticket prices? That would need to be calculated in then too.
You didn't add in concessions, which would drastically reduce the amount of time.
More seats and lights in Ohio Stadium
An $8.9 million project ongoing at Ohio Stadium will add approximately 2,600 seats with the construction of two seating areas that extend above the south stands' stadium tunnels. The project, which will be completed in August 2014, will include a new players' tunnel and it will also add rows of permanent MUSCO sports lighting atop the stadium's east wall and above the press box. Upon completion, the south stands will hold just over 17,300 students (an additional 9,000 students will continue to have seats in the north end of the stadium).
Can one of the old-timers (or knowledgeable youngsters) let me know how the old diamond pattern used to look?
Did it resemble any of these?
