Athlon Sports has another awesome list. This time, the Nashville-based company ranks the Big Ten stadiums.
Yes, it?s a highly subjective list. No shock to see Ohio Stadium on top, followed by Penn State?s Beaver Stadium and Nebraska?s Memorial Stadium. And it was good to see Wisconsin?s Camp Randall No. 4 over Michigan Stadium. But there are a few things I would tweak.
Here are my Big Ten stadium rankings:
1. Ohio Stadium, Ohio State: Loud, proud and crammed in. No place like it.
2. Memorial Stadium, Nebraska: No fan base has more passion or dedication....continued

Shockingly, Penn State fan doesn't agree and voices his displeasure in the comments:
K. John on 6/17/2013 @ 4:27pm EDT Said:#1, Beaver Stadium, period. Anyone that says anything else is biased, delusional, a liar or simply hasn?t been there (or has been told not to rank Penn State tops in anything by their boss). No Big Ten Stadium can compete. End of story.

Well, it's hard to argue with him; he's right.

Assuming the criterion is, "number of child rapes committed within."

Sure are an open minded bunch, aren't they?

Not to move the topic off of Penn State bashing, because it's just soooo damn fun, but the new seats look like they'll cover the players entrance ramps. That might end up being a bit cool. I wonder if the stadium will be able to see them exit the locker room any more.

Easy to fix: cheap camera outside locker room + vid boards already in stadium

That's one thing I noticed as well when the diagram was first released. Right now it looks like the additions are potentially floating wings above the ground...which would work well.

The new OSU scoreboard is missing one of its pillars because of the storm. Stay with #10TV for more.

If that pillar fell off to the south then the brick paver I got my dad for Christmas about twelve years ago would be about ground zero on the sidewalk out there. They had better replace it if it's damaged. I paid $500 for that brick!

I've been told that Ohio Stadium will feature in-stadium WiFi this season, as well as vastly improved cell phone service.
This season could just be a test run, but plan is for Ohio State to sell subscriptions for in-stadium service with access to stats & replays
An Ohio State spokesperson wouldn't comment on the addition of WiFi to the stadium, but told me that he expects cell service to be improved
