Is that good?
TAVIEN ST. CLAIR CONTINUES TO PUSH FOR NO. 1 SPOT

For the better part of the past year, LSU commit Bryce Underwood has been billed as the "can't-miss" quarterback prospect in the class of 2025, and for good reason. One of the youngest in the grade, Underwood has posted a 40-2 record over the past three years, accounting for 141 total touchdowns in the process. He's got a prototypical frame and he can beat defenses in a variety of different ways. Our opinion hasn't changed on Underwood.
But as we have hinted over the past few months, Ohio State commit Tavien St. Clair continues to make a case that he too has the goods. After an "Alpha Dog" performance at the Elite 11 Finals, there was plenty of debate behind the scenes as to whether or not we should move St. Clair up to No. 1 in the rankings, but we ultimately decided to let the two battle it out over the next few months when the real football is played.
Now, just because St. Clair stayed put at No. 2 and didn't leapfrog Underwood doesn't mean that he hasn't continued to win us over. In Los Angeles, it became crystal clear that St. Clair was in a different league than others with his college-ready build, coordinated pocket movements and high-powered arm.
Combine that with the fact that he has shown year-over-year improvement in key areas and we think he has what it takes to emerge as a franchise quarterback on Sundays. Of course, that's also how we feel about Underwood.
St. Clair's grade moves from a 98 to a 99 in the update to match Underwood at the top of the board. Both have a chance to finish with a grade of 100 or higher, which would put them in rare territory as there are only three other cycles in the 247Sports era where multiple quarterbacks were awarded with three-digit grades: 2018 (Trevor Lawrence and Justin Fields), 2020 (Bryce Young and DJ Uiagalelei) and 2023 (Arch Manning, Nico Iamaleava and Dante Moore).
“when the real football is played…”
Underwood is a great prospect, but I am with you. He didn't show at the biggest QB challenge of them all, TSC did and dominated, I mean dominated. I get Underwood has a great track record, but after what TSC did in LA I know where I have him rated and it is above Underwood. Doesn't really matter like you said though, he is a Buckeye and we should all be thrilled to have a kid like this committed.“when the real football is played…”
It cracks me up how these guys are always talking outta both sides of their mouths when they have an agenda. One kid dominates the most hyped up annual QB competition while the other sits at home. But how many times have we seen a kid’s ranking suffer bcuz he didn’t attend camps, yet had stellar game film? Anyway just glad we have this kid locked up. I think he’ll end up going #1 overall when his time comes.

Didn't have time earlier to post, but so freaking proud of TSC. His ascension is well-earned, but remarkable. Can't wait to see what he does this season.Tavien St. Clair catapults to No. 1-overall ranking in Rivals 250
