It was an NFL suspension (The second violation brings a four-game NFL suspension, the one that linebacker Odell Thurman served at the start of the 2006 season. Thurman was suspended for one year (the third strike) after a DUI arrest Sept. 25. - PER THE CINCY ENQUIRER), however I remember reading some Lewis Quotes at the time of the suspension about how great practice was without him bitching and crying all the time (paraphrase, obviously). I remember thinking how extreme the quotes were for Lewis.

As for Henry, I thought his jail time was negotiated in a way to avoid an NFL suspension, however I read somewhere yesterday he is likely due for one. That will reduse our chances of getting anything for him, which likely means expect to see him again in stripes (Bengals, not prison hopefully :biggrin: ) again.

In his first mock, Mel Kiper has the Bengals taking Amobi Okoye, DT, Louisville.

Most other services have Okoye going before the Bengals pick. I this is a good pick for us. The D line seems to be a bigger need for us than DE right now. I like it much better than any of the other mock's thus far including Tank Tyler (DT), Quinn Pitcock (DT) and Charles Johnson (DE). His is young and but has a quick, athletic body for a big man and could anchor that line for a long time.

Well from what I heard about him all week in practice, and the way he looked in the senior bowl yesterday, I would be ecstatic with that pick.

NFL Draft Scout Mock (free)

Not a very good Mock. Many of the picks at the top seem off the mark. But, then again, nobody gets them all right.

They have us taking Jamaal Anderson, DE from Arkansas.

Again, my opinion is that DE is not our most pressing need, but there is a lot of 1st round talent at the position. I'd prefer a run-stuffing D-line man.

Interesting, they have Jamall Anderson as #3 overall. I didn't see him at that type of talent, certainly not worthy to jump Gains Adams as the top DE in the draft pre-combine.

All in all, I give this site credit for being willing to mix it up and all of their picks can be justified. And, of course, I like the possibility of their pick, Okoye dropping to us.
