Oct 2 Coaches Poll (OSU 6th)

I agree. They've fallen behind kind of big in their last two games. Sooner or later things won't fall their way and their luck will run out. I don't think they're as good as they were last year, with all their losses on D, and I think they'll lose in the regular season sometime.

I agree that Notre Dame is the best shot, but I'm not sure it will be them. It's not that I see someone good enough to beat them, it's just that I don't see them being able to go undefeated. It's a hunch or gut feeling more than anything, they just don't look like they have "it" this year.

I feel the peak of USC was the bowl game last year. Now they are steadily declining due to injuries and the wrong beliefs/discipline.
Notre Dame will beat them signifying that programs return.
Just a feeling......
PS I never predict so jump on the band wagon now while it's hot :)

The Domers won't win a shoot-out with SC, they must play solid defense.
A couple weeks ago I would have agreed, but after watching the MSU and Purdue games I think they can. Quinn is really looking good and the wideouts are looking tough. If Charlie and his staff can minimize mistakes and limit Reggie Bush they can definitely win.

Quinn could be a serious Heisman contender next year! And if Samarjia does not make a few All-America teams this year something is wrong.
So far, he looks very very good. But hell Chief, I thought you would at least spell a potential AA candidate's name correctly :wink2:. I thought I would help ya out a bit with it.

I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised that we are at #6. I figured we might drop a spot, I thought Alabama might jump us, and that LSU might not fall behind us considering that their wasn't a poll after their loss. Its nice to see, but be prepared for Alabama to jump us soon if they don't lose.
