Now "Penn State is for real" lol

1) The only 2 offenses that put points on PSU were Mich and ILL, and Mich was blanked the second half.

2) Yes, the possibility of a team getting smoked in the NC game exists, but don't be surprised if it's the other way around.

3) Agree again, Iowa looks dangerous all of a sudden. But there were even more doubts about this team coming in to ILL, IA, and OSU.

Both teams were conservative last night and OSU could have won the game. But why would you put down your offense and not give any credit to the defense? USC held you guys to 74yds rushing in LA without Beanie and TP was in his first game. PSU held you guys to 60yds rushing in Columbus and still no respect. It's not an accident that PSU tried to stop OSU from running.

After every PSU win this season, everyone kept saying that we haven't played a real team. Then everyone said that OSU will beat PSU. Now that PSU wins, OSU wasn't good on offense. If they opened up the offense last night and put 400yds on OSU, then you'd probably say that OSU "mailed it in".

Good luck to the Buckeyes the rest of the season and hopefully you'll make it to a BCS bowl and blow out whoever you play. The Big10 is not as weak and the SEC isn't as good as people think. Here's hoping that PSU, OSU, MSU, MINN, IA, ILL, and WISC would put a hurting on whoever we face in the bowls.

I agree.. I said it earlier in this thread when other people were laughing at penn state. They have been "for real" all season. Last night was just a wake up call for a lot of people in understanding how real that is. Everyone wants to criticize the oline with good reasoning, but you seen Beanie getting dragged down last night in the backfield more then ever as well. The defense of PSU is legit. Not scoring a single touchdown means somebody was playing well. When in the last time you can remember seeing beanie stuffed like that? Also, blaming pryor for fumbling is a little overboard in my eyes. When you are relying on a freshman to be the leader, you really have to look at the rest of the team and question it imo..A great freshman talent should be an addition to a great team(look at how usc ALWAYS has standout freshmen, but serious playmaker vets to lead the team)..Not a focal point, and expected to lead the team every time his number is called. I think TP is a great player, and learning the ropes this early is going to make him a monster stud type player for the future....He is earning his experience early much like Colt Mccoy was.

Ohio State is 67th in the country in scoring offense. Ohio State was held without an offensive touchdown by Purdue. Why would I put them down? I didn't... I simply know what they are.

We respect PSU for what they are: a pretty good team. n-o-t-h-i-n-g more

We loathe PSU fans for what they are.

Seriously, get the [censored] over yourself.

Whomever you loathe is beside the point.

"67th in the country..." is the season average. OSU has improved since the beginning of the season and OU or Troy wouldn't keep it interesting this past weekend like they did earlier. The Purdue game was won comfortably, it's not like it was ever in doubt. If you are a D.C. and have to game plan for Beanie/TP, then you'll rank them differently. There aren't are only a few teams that would be slightly favored if they had to play a prime time game in Columbus. Half of the favored ones wouldn't be leaving with a victory.

Yes, a 9-0 win team is just a pretty good team, I agree. There're still 4 games left. A lot of people were touting USC as a great team when they were 2-0. Sure, they have more NFL talents, but talent alone won't make a great team.

no offense, but USC would beat you guys by 25 points or more.

That's just an opinion you are entitle to. It just means that if the spread is 21 pts or less, you would sell everything and go all in on USC. And you may win or you and your family may be renting everything you need afterwards.

My opinion is that USC will be favored, but it won't be by nearly that much. And PSU would have a decent chance to win. Why? Because PSU is solid on both sides of the line. No teams in college is unbeatable and as deep as USC is, they can only put 11 on the field at any time. They are not even controlling their own destiny in the PAC10 right now.

Personally, I think PSU can compete with anyone in the country.
I am rooting for them to win the NC and bring some respect back to the Big 10.
Plus, that should put OSU in a BCS bowl for sure, provided they win out of course...

i'm no cowboy, but i wouldn't be afraid to make that bet. usc's defense is slightly better than ours, and their offense is just a little bit better. i'm rooting for you guys, but i will be surprised if you pull it off.

FWIW, on a neutral site i bet the line would be about USC -8

PSU's defense was better than I thought it would be thats for sure. I thought we would do much of the same from last year and well it never happened. Is PSU better than OSU? I don't think so to be honest, but Championship teams find ways to win games and PSU did. I give all the credit in the world to PSU and it just wasn't OSU losing the ball game. PSU did enough to win the game and were in the position in the 4th quarter to come back and win the game which they took advantage of.

PSU is the first team IMO that has effectively taken Chris Wells out of the game and that shouldn't be understated. While our offense is pretty poorous right now we have a lot of weapons on that side of the ball so we need to atleast give them credit for shutting down (I think) the best rushing attack in the conference. They forced us to go away from what we like to do and good defenses will do that.

Here's hoping PSU wins out (if we both win out then OSU gets to the Rose Bowl, but if PSU loses then our chances become pretty slim IMO).

PSU beat us, at our house, at night. They are better than us this year. We need to own that.

USC's D didn't face USC's O. How can you say who has the better D?

Which part? Putting up 3 against USC or putting up 6 against penn state? I wouldn't say PSU's offense is as good as USC,but it's not horrible.OSU's defense right now isn't playing as good as either. I would think USC would have a lot tougher time dismantling PSU,then they did OSU. Although, I wouldn't totally rule it out as a possibility. They are a monster big game team. I guess I tend to give more credit to penn state, because I actually seen them bring down wells many times in situations i've seen him break, spin, hurdle against great teams. (michigan(not this year obviously, lsu, florida) I realize the play of the oline had a huge factor in that, but those big plays were eliminated all together.

lmao at your rep
