They beat Ohio State at Ohio State. Their loss today puts us back in the race for the Big Ten title, but probably hurt us as much as it did them. We have no quality wins and a close loss against an undefeated State Penn would have looked better on our resume than this.

Having said that, this team would lose to USC and most of the other top five teams, in my opinion. I'd rather that the Big Ten win its bowl games this year.

I just wish Alabama would have lost today as well.

Why does it matter how it makes us look? If MSU beats Penn State, Ohio State gets the automatic BCS bid because of the head-to-head matchup of MSU-OSU. Even after all that, Ohio State will likely finish in the top 12 if they take care of business.. So either way, it shouldn't matter with how it makes us look.

Penn State has a nice team this year, but it's shown in its past two games that it is nowhere near a NC caliber team. OSU had them on the ropes, and they just lost to an Iowa team that previously was 2-3 in the Big Ten. Penn State at best is a #10 ranked team this season, based on what I've seen.

Who are we, Notre Dame? Our best win needs to be a loss to a highly ranked team?

Who cares about style points at this point? There's no chance we go to the NC game, so it doesn't matter what the national opinion is. If anything, this season will shut some whiners up because they can't bitch about us "ruining" their NCG. God help whichever team loses that game this year.

Would you care to try making some sense? That's not even close to being a rebuttal. PSU & OSU looked quite comparable in their matchup. Whether OSU or USC was the deciding factor in their blowout in LA, either one supports his point.

How does USC beating OSU when OSU was struggling support his point that USC would kill PSU? Yes, PSU/OSU looked comparable, it was a very close game. But that's PSU vs OSU, not PSU vs USC. OSU/WISC looked comparable while PSU killed WISC, but I don't see anyone saying that PSU would kill OSU. Even if PSU plays OSU again, the results maybe quite different and could go either way. Spouting that USC would blow out PSU should be saved for USC fans' trash talk.

More non-sensical rambling. Besides the fact that those don't compare AT ALL, no one is saying half of those things, specifically the second two.

My point is that people have opinions base on certain chosen facts but completely ignore other facts that would disprove their theory if used in the same argument. Fans of the beneficiating team do this, in this case the team is USC, because I don't see how it would benefit OSU. I've seen someone here said "I think Troy is better than" any team on PSU's OOC schedule. Well, I don't know anything about Troy but this was said after OrSUvsUSCvsOSU happened and it was entirely possible because Troy only had 2 losses at that point.

So you thought if you can't beat them, you'll join them by being as immature as possible?

So telling a bully that if he doesn't stop, he would get his ass kicked in is too harsh? If you are a christian man that would turn the other cheek then I would admire you. I would be immature comparatively to such saintly actions, but I don't expect a saint like that to call out anyone.

The merit of your opinion is crumbling rapidly the longer you keep up these rants.

If you don't want me to say anything, why don't you not say anything about it for a change? Practice what you preach or don't complain.

We're not idiots, txp. Throwing that in there doesn't confuse us or make us forget what you've written.

The last thing I want to do is make you forget, confuse you nor make you forget what I wrote. I sincerely wanted the Buckeyes to win, that was before PSU lost to Iowa. Looking back, I guess I should've root for NU so PSU would have a better chance for Big10 title.

Based on what I've seen lately from PSU, you guys would not be able to score on them, and they'd be able to throw the ball a lot on you.

When USC can throw the ball, watch out.

Because OSU hasn't stopped struggling, even against Penn State. There were a lot of plays to be made in the passing game by Pryor, and he simply missed many of them.

A lot of teams have moved the ball on Ohio State, even if some have committed turnovers after long drives, or settled for more FGs than TDs. Penn State could do very little all night until their defense grabbed momentum for them. It's not hard to imagine why someone would come away unimpressed with Penn State's team (which involves the offense, not just the D) after watching that game.

Darryl Clark beat up on a lot of mediocre ballclubs, especially defensively. He was pretty mediocre when he faced OSU, and that was the case long before the concussion. USC's defense is more disruptive and as athletic as OSU. The mediocre play from Clark continued this week.

Stanzi found plenty of holes in PSU's secondary, and Mark Sanchez (let alone Sam Bradford or Graham Harrell) would slice up that secondary imo.

Someone addressing you is not an excuse for sloppy and emotional responses.

It was just a bit of a weird way to close the post, that's all.

...unless it's someone's honest opinion. In that case it's just fine.

And it's the opinion of most of the people here.

And you can replace "USC" with "Florida" and most here would go along with it.

If you don't like it, there are two simple solutions. One of them is to keep whining. Go for it. We love unintentional comedy.
