Notre Dame (football only discussion)

Yes he did.......

"I've always felt like to have a successful team you've got to have a few bad citizens on the team," Pinkett said on WSCR-AM (670). "That's how Ohio State used to win all the time. They would have two or three guys that were criminals and that just adds to the chemistry of the team. I think Notre Dame is growing because maybe they have some guys that are doing something worthy of a suspension which creates edge on the football team.

I know he did. I'm just saying I don't know why he did that. He must have some annimosity left over from his playing days.

As far as Joe goes, not really sure what's been going through his head lately. By all accounts I hear he's a complete dick in person, but I've never met him so I'll reserve judgement. He's been distancing himself from the university imo the last few years. I don't know if it has anything to do with the fact that his son didn't make the cut at QB, but Nate at least got a chance. Nate's a good kid, don't have any problems with him. My cousin went with him to a dance freshman year, she said he was a nice guy.

Pinkett's comments...pretty shocked. While I do feel your team needs an edge to win, I don't feel like you need criminals to achieve this. Certainly there are better examples of teams with criminals than OSU (I'm looking at you, Miami). Selling goods for tattoos isn't even against the law, just NCAA regulations. To be honest, I haven't cared for Pinkett announcing for the Irish, I miss Tony Roberts. He was the voice of the Irish for 26 years, and was unceremoniously let go after the '07 season I think. He stated for a long time that he would love to return, I don't know if that was the case. It's tough to hear the commentary over the background music, but this was the energy he brought to the broadcast booth:

Apparently he did apologize to OSU as part of his apology, but it doesn't fucking matter. In one 2-4 sentence statement he basically fed into about 100 different negative stereotypes of everything from OSU to athletes to minorities to...pretty much everything. The fuckstick should be fired, end of story.

Joe Montana is one of the biggest assholes to walk the planet. He divorced his first wife simply sending her divorce papers. He's an ass and has no class. I hold no stock in what he says.

I was at the graduation (for my cousin) in South Bend when he was there for one of his kids I think it was not that long ago (a few years). He sat in a luxury box behind a wall of armed security. Was one of the funniest things ever. I didn't hear a single ND person there say they liked him.

Alan Pinkett = Ass Clown

Furthermore, I think Alan Pinkett should immediately be reprimanded by his employer and issue a formal apology to The Ohio State University and the fans.

Notre Dame didn't offer an apology for killing one of its own students and driving a young woman to suicide by protecting a football playing rapist. You seriously think they'll issue an apology because one of their own badmouthed Ohio State?
