Allstate Sugar Bowl Notre Dame vs. LSU January 3, 2007, Fox
Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's Notre Dame vs. LSU so it's must-see college football TV, but it also has the potential to be a dog with fleas if Notre Dame doesn't do something major to address the pass protection and secondary issues. This will be like a home game for LSU in the first Sugar Bowl back in New Orleans since Hurricane Katrina.

The knee jerk, off-the-cuff, initial prediction: LSU 38 ... Notre Dame 20
I don't believe that Athletic Director Kevin White was ever pro-Charlie Weis. In fact, he was reluctant to let Ty Willingham go, he wanted him to stay. The way the offense was looking under Ty going into the 2005 season, we wouldn't even have won 9 games. Woulda lost to Michigan, Tennessee, blown out by USC, Michigan State probably would been a blow out too since it was the battle of no defense.ND Fans 2005 Weis is God fast forward to 2007 Fans=who was the F----g AD that hired an Asst. Coach with no head coaching experince...

Anyway, when it came to hiring Coach Weis, I believe Father Maloy was the one that put the issue forth. After the slumps the team has had since the early 90s, I've been pretty happy with a turn around of 9-3, 10-2 and two BCS appearances. We need to win a bowl game badly though, and things aren't looking good against LSU. Being in their own backyard basically won't help either. We're getting talent in, but next year will be rough since Ty left us with weak and few members in the Senior/Junior classes for next year.
There can't be more than 2 BCS teams from the same conference. I agree that NA isn't a "BCS worthy" team in the aspect that they shouldn't be able to brag about being in the BCS, but there really wasn't anybody else you could take over them. The fact that they get taken over a team that lost one less game then they did(Wisconsin), and lost to the same team they did, but looked more impressive and kept it closer, tell you how much the media is on there nuts. There is no reason ND should be ahead of the teams they are. If there name wasn't ND they wouldn't even be close to the #10 spot. 1 lowly ranked team win in the past 2 years, please.

That being said, the "no more than 2 teams from the same conference" is bogus since it doesn't hurt NA in the least, and actually helps them.

You've got
BCS Championship - Ohio State v. I'll say Florida
Rose - Michigan v. USC
Sugar - LSU (at large) v. ??? (Notre Dame is my guess)
Orange - Wake Forest v. Big East winner
Fiesta - Bosie State (by rule, correct me if I'm wrong) v. Big XII winner
Here's some big insider news. Notre Dame isn't any closer to deserving a top ten ranking or winning its bowl game than last year. Chuckie is fat. Next year looks like things get far worse. This is an Ohio State board. And Santa Claus is not real.
