Notre Dame (football only discussion)

They are getting ready for LSU with the following drill (The Zibby drill):

1) Ball carrier lines up 15 yards ahead of the tackler and begins from a dead stop to simulate having to come back for an underthrown pass and wait on the ball.

2) The ND defender gets a running start and once he crosses the line that denots a 15 yard gap between he and the ball carrier the ballcarrier takes off.

3) Catch the ballcarrier and get him to the ground if possible. If not run all the way to the endzone with the ball carrier and practice your "I thought you had him" body language so eveyone on TV thinks it was a blown assignment instead of just getting your doors blown off.

4) Repeat

Why would they continue to drill on something that they have already perfected?

Who else would you have #1?

I personally have no problem with it.

I'd look for someone like the Lions to snag him at 1 or 2 if they get the chance.
I think it's the comment that makes him on drugs.

And I wouldn't draft him #1. I don't think he's as good as people are saying. I watch him against crappy competition and all he does is throw up deep jump balls that his tall WRs go up and grab.

The Lions certainly don't need any receivers so I don't see them taking Calvin Johnson.

Look for your Raiders or the Lions to throw the bank at Quinn.

I don't agree they should, but you are definitely right, I think, especially since there are what...4 rookie QBs starting right now? Look at all the crap teams took for not taking Leinart...Quinn will go way, way high to someone.

What other QB could you draft that high?
