Notre Dame (football only discussion)

I agree. So does Tyler Moeller..

I would assume that since this happened in South Bend that the person involved was a Notre Dame fan. That's pretty bad when the Notre Dame fans are attacking their own players. Both attacks (Moeller and Clauson) are bad, but this one puts Notre Dame fans at a new low.

BC - Georgetown "more traditional?" I'd say the Jesuits are anything but "more traditional." They may mouth support for Rome, but they don't call their senior the Black Pope without reason.

I was always told if you want a real Catholic education Catholic U is the place to go or some of the smaller universities such as Franciscan U.... so G town and BC and ND may all be in the same boat... As far as the Jesuits and the Black Pope that stuff is grade a conspiracy theory conjecture... it goes right along with the luminati and Opus Dei imho:wink2: So bring on Dennis Erikson.... I heard he was Opus Dei

Having taught in Catholic Schools for 27 years (as a public school employee) and having been a member of Bellarmine Chapel on Xavier's campus, I can tell you that the Jesuits are not afraid to tell the heirachy just where to get off. We still receive "Company" a Jesuit monthly mag and it's not afraid to support Obama or other liberal politicians/causes. While I acknowledge that there were many Catholic students, parents and alums who reacted negatively to some of the "liberal" actions the university has taken, there are also many who support them.

Any bets it was one of the fabulous subway alumni?

The assailant has not yet been identified, but witnesses described her as 5' 2" with blonde hair.

If laughing at Clausen getting sucker punched is wrong.....

Having fun with the idea of a fan giving Clausen a black eye is light years from the low point of this board.

There were tons of jokes when a UM player hit a kid with a bottle or a PSU player pulled out a machete. And we have been relentless in attacking a man who has a life threatening weight problem.

I don't think any of us are genuinely condoning this action.

That said, the sand alone laughing emoticon sends an ambiguous message.
