Next Generation Console News: Xbox One, PS4, Wii U

How about adding Apple's Airplay??? <- that would be sweet so i don't have to get another apple TV.

Apple locks in Airplay to Apple operating systems only. It's not really up to the hardware manufacturers. Apple uses these types of things to sell more of their devices.

That is all on Apple, not any of the console makers.

if you want the holodeck, apple actually has a patent on a great idea that will come mainstream at some point.

basically the machine finds human eyeballs and transmits a customized image to each individual eyeball. it beams that image to a spinning mirror that can produce (i believe) at least 60 frames per second. capable of multiple people interacting with the object even.

what you see is essentially a 3d hologram that you can walk around in the room and change your angle. you can walk behind and around the items like the were actually there. no glasses required either.

this is how they will put items into the immersion room at some point in the future, but only if you pay apple for it of course. . . .

but AAPL has no growth prospects and is a value stock. . . . .

me, i would rather have a share of AAPL at $430 than a new game system for $400, but fortunately it isn't an either or decision.

think you can't invest, BS, you can even buy a couple of dollars worth of a share at a time through sharebuilder (though that sounds like commission hell to me).

not investment advice, do your own research, no conflicts of interest as I sold all my AAPL at $703 and change and have no interest in Capital One who owns sharebuilder.

I very interested in the same thing. Some articles are saying that MS has no answer to the capture card being built in. I don't know, maybe they could just release some software as an update if it can't ship with it. I'm really hoping its apart of their system as well. It would be great if they included a fast tracked port to your favorite social media outlets like youtube, Facebook, or even forum boards like this.

i thought the new xbox was going to have DVR functionality which would require a capture card wouldn't it?

Basically, reading between the lines, I think some are saying that Sony worked hard to incorparate this junction into their system with ease and simplisity. With a push of a button your well on the way to waht you want. MS is being said to be concerned with addressing that aspect. I thining they could use software to accomplish the same effect but not be as thought out as what Sony integrated into their hardware. But take it with a grain of salt.

game definitely need to improve if I'm gonna buy next gen, i've noticed there hasn't been many big games lately (or great games), I barely even touch my xbox anymore

Are you talking about graphics? If so I don't think there will be much of an upgrade. However, I think companies are waiting to release some games for next gen. I'm in the same boat, I haven't really played my Xbox in a while. It I've played one night a week here and there. But I think this always happens around this time of year because tv shows and other things take up my time during the late fall/winter/early spring

So much more important than graphics. The gameplay on Dreamcast games were much better than today's games.
