Just goes to show, the NCAA is completely serious about the word "student" in the term "Student athlete"

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to send some video of Noel Divine to some coaches who are being accused of using my "recruiting service"
Lol... Whatever happened to that guy...?

Saw this article posted on si.com yesterday about the 2003 championship game. The article as a whole was an interesting read in that it contains so many quotes and so much perspective from players on both teams. That aside, I found McGahee's quote below interesting about Ohio State:

WILLIS McGAHEE, MIAMI RUNNING BACK: We could tell it wasn't going to be a gimme game like when we whooped on Nebraska [in the previous year's title matchup]. They came to play.

You found it interesting about Ohio State, but you put it in the Nebraska thread?

Nebraska got demolished in that 2001 game. We didn't deserve to be there, it was a fluke of scheduling and the idiocy of the BCS that put us there, and every flaw we had got exposed by one of the best teams of all time. Everyone would have been better served had Nebraska gone to another bowl. I think that's been pretty well established and we can move on now - unless you want to post any other comments bagging on Nebraska when we were down, preferably from articles six months old or older.

It's not like Buckeye fans would know what that feels like.

If one word I wrote was untrue you could accuse me of being butthurt. But we simply didn't belong in that game, and it's still wrong that we got in a dozen years later. That was Nebraska's game immediately after Colorado waxed us 62-24, or whatever the score was. No team that didn't win their division, let alone their conference, belongs in the National Championship game.

That includes Alabama, whatever year that was.

To be honest, most people here reacted like this when we found out we were playing Miami:

To address the point that the article was six months old--it was for some reason linked on the front page of cnnsi.com the day or so before I made my July 5 post. Just FYI. Now you can go back to whining and thinking there's a witch hunt against all things Nebraska.

The beginning of your post really wasn't bad, but the fact that you ended with the following whiny sentence does, in fact, signal that you are butthurt:

"I think that's been pretty well established and we can move on now - unless you want to post any other comments bagging on Nebraska when we were down, preferably from articles six months old or older."
