ND 34, TSUN 38 (Final)

ND should have done it last year. I think the only reason he was brought back was becasue it was his recruiting class and he might be able to pull something off.

So maybe what I should be rooting for is Notre Dame to continue to win just enough to keep King Arrogant on his throne. Lord, I get sick just thinking about what a good coach could do at that place.

Honestly, I think MSU gets blown out. If their defense is better than Michigan's, it's not by a lot, and they don't have the offense to keep up with Notre Dame's.

I agree MSU will lose, but I don't think they'll get blown out. I think their defense is much better than UM's, but their offense won't be able to stay with ND. I guess it comes down to whether MSU is the beneficiary of timely turnovers by ND and/or a special teams TD, like UM was. If not, I see a 10 or so point win for ND, as ND likely would have had in Ann Arbor had it not been for the turnovers and giving up a special teams TD.

Meh - I'm luke warm on his recruiting talents. All things kept the even and a game played on a neutral site - are you blown away by ND's talent?

Are the Texas 05? SC 04? Miami 01? or FSU 2000?* Of course not. They are an above average team that has the potential to score in bunches against inferior opponents.

The deciding factor is coaching. These guys are oozing with talent. Since the Hawaii game Clausen reached the next level and his potential. Floyd is an unbelieveable receiver, probably better than any we've had in a long time even as a Sophomore. Offensive line isn't giving up as many sacks and they're opening holes. The offense is pretty stacked and has the pieces in place to continue through the future. The defense has enough speed and power, but they've made some mental mistakes. There were a number of things you can point to at the end of the game that hurt us: penalties, Floyd's injury, ticky tacky calls. When it comes down to it they had the ability to win it, and I think Weis made the wrong calls at the end.

Something to note...ESPN pointed out the Irish haven't beaten MSU in South Bend since Lou Holtz did it...in '93 :pissed: Notre Dame tends to play worse against MSU than Michigan

Just dawned on me that, upon further review, we already knew 20 months ago that Floyd would criminally abuse Cissoko.

One-on-One, Mike Floyd would abuse most DB's in CFB right now.

He's a future 1st rounder for sure and might be the best WR in CFB as a true sophomore. He's Top 5 at worst.

AJ Green, Jeff Demps and Julio Jones called. They said you're totally full of shit.

particularly when his goal most of the time was to stand near to the catch and then do his oompa-loompa celebration when it would go out of bounds or get dropped.

Jeff Demps plays RB and he's about 5-foot-9.

Like I said, Mike Floyd is at worst Top 5 WR in CFB right now.

If you don't think Mike Floyd is in the same class as AJ Green or Julio Jones than you have no idea what you are talking about and should not even be taken seriously.

Floyd is a tremendous WR, but BooBoo let him catch the ball unchallenged far too often on saturday.

Cissoko was playing injured, and what are you Lloyd Carr in disguise throwing around the word tremendous?

If Cissoko can take any comfort away from that game, it's that Mike Floyd is the best WR that he'll face all year and nobody even comes close.
