NCAA punishes USC - Reggie Bush, OJ Mayo, Dwayne Jarrett, Joe McKnight investigation

That is when the story got pumped to the front page and replaced the Bush story. Either that or I managed to make a flawless photoshop in the time between when the Clemens and Sampson photos and stories (and the video links on the right) went up and the time I posted.

Damn you're good.

No, the printscreen is from the espn.com frontpage.

It wasn't up there when I posted earlier. And it wasn't up there after you posted. If they had it as a top story headline on the right column of the front page (for whatever short period of time), it was a glitch by a UCLA fan that was caught just in time to make sure that the Everham story (a HUGE story by the way) made it there in its place.

But you're right. ESPN does apparently think the Bush story is big... just not as big as Formula One spearheading a campaign against racism.

Considering that ESPN has a huge tv deal with NASCAR, I don't know why you find it hard to believe that ESPN would make sure news about the telecast made the front page.

Oh, I forgot, ESPN only acts in its self-interest when that story fits the narrative of Big Bad ESPN.

All sarcasm aside, this is actually a true statement. If ESPN had broken the Bush story, you could almost guarantee they'd have given it the same National Equirer/Access Hollywood coverage they gave the Maurice Clarett story.

Fact is, Ohio State fans have every right to bitch and complain about ESPN's relative lack of objectivity when it comes to the treatment of the two stories. One story led Sportscenter for a whole week. The other can't even get a mention on Cold Pizza.

And if you ask me, the Bush story has just a little bit more credibility. But credibility is not what ESPN gives a shit about.

My favorite part was the women's bball free dental work story on the front page. But the real kicker was its placement on the cfb page as well, for maximum exposure

The Bush story led SportsCenter or had a sizeable segment dedicated to it for about a week when it first broke. It has since made SportsCenter on several occasions when there is a new development.
