NCAA Football 2010 PS3 Super Conference

I started a "coach mode" dynasty for us to play and get a feel for the online dynasty while we wait for EA to get the patch released, and we wait for a good named roster.

Coach mode is a dynasty set with default varsity sliders where you call the plays, do all of your pre-snap movement and snap the ball. That's where you stop controlling the action and just let the computer run the play. This is the first time in a long time that this kind of game has been available because EA has put the auto passing feature back in the game.

Everyone has been sent an invite to this dynasty mostly so we can navigate the dynasty menus, get an idea of what recruiting is like, and be also to see if a dynasty like this could be fun, or just annoying.

Anyway, once the patch comes out, and we get some named rosters, I'll kill this dynasty and startup the real super conference dynasty. If we decide to do a coach mode dynasty, or maybe a strictly sim dynasty someone else can set it up, or maybe I'll have DC run it.

Everyone is in the Big East, and have been given the teams that they picked in the draft. Piney, I gave you Alabama. Whobe, I gave you Georgia. When we go to the real dynasty, you two won't be required to take those teams...I just wanted to get this started now, and get a few weeks in before we start the Super Conference.

Scratch that. I re-ordered the rosters and these are the ratings if the best OVR player at each position is the starter. It'll drop once you start putting your fastest player at each position in as the starter.

Team (OVR, OFF, DEF, SPT)
Whobe's Illinois team (B, A, B-, C)
Olaf's UCLA team (B, B+, B, A+)

Players that were created at different positions are practically useless. I cannot alter the teams in any way before loading them into the dynasty. You also may not be able to redshirt them and change their position in the offseason, as it appears that most of the out of position guys have already used their redshirts.
Yeah, I knew that I'd mentioned the redshirt thing before, and the inability to change them before loading the dynasty.

I think that if you altered a guy that already burned his redshirt, you were able to change his year, but not his redshirt status. ie. changing Boom Herron to a freshman would make him a RS Freshman. Changing Saine to a freshman would make him a true freshman.

Granted the coach mode dynasty isn't going to have the same recruits as the real dynasty will but I had to go down to prospect #54 before I got to a guy that only had one of us on his list. Out of the top 100 only seven players had just one of our teams in their top 10. NONE of the top 100 had zero "Big East" teams on their list.

Recruiting is going to be crazy. :banger:

EDIT: Recruit #290 3* FS Eric Brown is the first recruit to not have any of us in his top 10. :p

Oh so close, for the Super Dynasty I will choose Georgia.

Alabama, Georgia and a few other teams are so close in terms of talent and other attributes it was really hard to pick between them. I actually had to play a game (or a half) with each team to figure out who I wanted.

But Georgia is here to dance all over Florida in the annual Cocktail Party!

Your previous top 3 didn't include UGA, and UGA was Whobe's first choice, so I just randomly picked one of your previous top 3. I switched you to UGA for the coach mode dynasty, and switched Whobe to Alabama, even though he will likely be Miami for the Super Conference Dynasty.

Damn. I was hoping I was going to have a region to myself.

That was me being sneaky :sneaky: What really put them over the top was their whole OL kicks ass and not one senior amongst them. Plus they only had 16 seniors which helps for their first recruiting class.

That was a pipe dream. The other teams I was seriously looking at was Florida St, Alabama & Miami. So I was going to be in your region no matter what. The more I looked at LSU & Penn St they were a step behind the other teams. (for what I was looking for)

The guy that is going to have a recruiting field day is Iron if Ohio State is the only 'northern' team in the dynasty. The only reason I was looking hard at Penn St and trying to make that happen.
