NCAA Football 2010 PS3 Super Conference

IronBuckI

Calmer than you are.
It's now less than 3 months until NCAA Football 2010 comes out, and everyone (including myself) seems to be getting a little antsy as to what types of Dynasties will be run for the fine folks at BP. So, this is the type of league that I plan on running next year.

I will modify some of these things as it gets closer to the release date and I know more about the game. Things that would effect my format would be: number of super conferences that can be made, number of players allowed in any conference, number of players allowed in a single online Dynasty, and number of players interested in actually being in this dynasty.

The first format centers on having a similar number of players playing in the dynasty as we currently have in the Big Ten-Pac Ten Dynasty, and only having one super conference available.

- All current NCAA FBS teams , and some carry overs from the NCAA 2009 Big Ten/Pac Ten Dynasty are available, except for Ohio State. I'm going to be Ohio State, regardless of overall team rating (Call it a perk for being the commish...call it bul[censored]...I'm ok with either one). Limiting availability for teams in a league that plays mostly human games was done to create an initial balance to the league. Balance can be forced in a super conference, so there's no need to limit anything.

- All other teams will be drafted by the individual coaches. Draft order will be determined by me. Using this random drawing applet.

- [strike]Assuming 8-12 players[/strike] We will have a max of 8 players, playing in the Big East. The number of human opponents in any give season will be [strike]between 7 and 9[/strike] 7. That will help keep the cpu beatings from getting too mundane.

- We'll start out with the base [strike]heisman[/strike] all-american sliders, until we learn that they're garbage, then we'll adjust accordingly.

Teams:
IronBuckI - Ohio State
buckeyemania - Texas
Basebuck - Florida
THEWOOD - Oklahoma
fanatic - USC
Piney - Georgia
WhobeBubba - Miami
Smooth Olaf - LSU

Just because I don't want to start my Dynasty thread. I will post my intentions so people will know.

I will once again have my own dynasty. It will be similar to last years. Where the teams are spread out over all the conferences (team ratings are yet to be determined). I won't 'create' a super conference, we will leave them be.

The limit will be two teams per conference. And all users will have 4 human non-conference games.

This will give the PS3 users on BP a variety to choose from (if you only have time to play in one dynasty).

I will create the thread for that dynasty in May.

Back to Iron's thread...

No, that's fine. I just didn't want to clutter the 2009 threads with too much 2010 talk, and it's been brought up several times in the last couple of weeks. Discussion of both dynasties is cool. Then we can create sign-up and official threads once we really know what we're going to do.

You know you are screwed Iron, no way people would believe you if you ended up with the 1st pick to draft teams

How available will all the teams be? I would guess EVERYONE would want Ohio State. But how dirty would it feel to pick USC or Florida?

Oh...I'm Ohio State. No reason to even bring the integrity of the draft into consideration.

I'm thinking the Florida Tebow's would be hard to turn down. Lots of Offensive speed.

I'm drawing a blank, who are the big play WR's next year?

who cares... they all will have SEC speed

Is it sick that I am already tossing around ideas in my head about what teams I would pick :wink2:

I'm already looking for a 99 speed underclassman. I've already searched ESPN.com rosters to try and remember gamebreakers at wideout .

You know what else is sick? I was watching College Football Live the other day and was wondering if Shelton is coming back this year?
